I'm alright in gaming, i think

I just learn and apply things pretty well, as long as someone is willing to show me and let me fail a bit while I work on getting it.

However, I appear to be bad at modifying tactics when a situation changes, and that's likely why it would take a very long time to go from "above average" to "really good".

I don't enjoy competitive gaming as well ... but the competitiveness between friends, I do that, hahaha~
One of my friends and I are very competitive.
"Heeeyyy, guess who just maxed their character?"
"Oohhh, shut up. My character's prettier."
"Well, mine's cuter."

If anyone's interested in diving into Warframe, tell me. Me and my slightly inactive clan is willing to help, hahaha xD

I feel like I have to give up on being competitive with friends, because the friends I play games with are VERY competitive. Even if they won't admit it.

Love playing with them but it really does feel sometimes like they just want to show off their awesome stuff and skills to me rather than just play with me

Of course that might just be my inferiority complex kicking in, not wanting to hold them back

Our version of competitiveness is a little different. Like ...
"Ha! I got more damaged received!"
"But that means you got hurt mor-"
"Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I got more damaged received. I beat you."
"Fine!"
Then friend proceeds to run around trying to get more damage to his character than I did.

I'm not sure if this kind of competitiveness is healthy ... buuuuuuut it's fun XD
If my friends discover how to use a skill or a better way to traverse a map, they share it and help (while pretending not to see our failures) us 'master' what they discovered.

"Crouch then point then jump."
"Okay." -does it and fails-
"I saw nothing."
"Waaaaiiittt, almost goott iiiitttttt." -fails again-
-friend shoots an oncoming enemy that's trying to get to me-
"Aaalmoosstt therreeeee ..."
"So close. So close."
-does it- "Yeesss!"
"Okay, let's go." -proceeds to fly away-
"Wait for meeeeeeeeee "
Until I finally got good enough and now we're racing the maps xD

Oh! I wish I had that kind of competitiveness with my friends XD

It's more like for me "Oh yay I finally figured out this thing" and friend is already on to new-thing-4 by then

But anyways XD
I think my friends sort of try to be like what you described, it might just be because I play less than them XD

We've been playing Monster Hunter World. People are measured by a "Hunter Rank" which at first indicates how many assigned quests one has completed but past that I don't know. When I started playing, my primary playing partner was rank 14. Now that I'm rank 14, she's rank 80 =_=

But at the same time, while I might not be able to compete in that way (as well as not being first on any post hunt rankings aside from ranged potshots) at least I feel like I'm living up to my rank of 14 XD

We're on another game. My friends are ranked at 15 and 4. I'm at rank 9, hahaha~


What platform do you play MHW on? O.o
I've always wanted to try it o.o

Playing it on PS4. The game itself seems easy to get into, but there's still some spots that seem overly brutal. Supposedly it's the easiest one of the Monster Hunter series too, and I still get my ass handed to me at times XD

It is overall a pretty fun game though. However I think I would not have tried it had it not been to play with friends, and playing it solo is kinda annoying...the monsters you hunt have WAY too much health.

Awwwww, there's no cross platform for that =(
Even my friends have the PS4 so I couldn't go play with them online on the consoles xD
