Well, yeah JKR is just trying to get more cash, and that's extremely disrespectful to not only fans of her work, but to her previous work in general. She doesn't care about the craft but about money and it really shows. I'll cut my rant about her and just say, she's a greedy harpy, that's all XD

I have no problem with people not liking JKR, imo I see the work and the author separately c;
Just because I can say 'I love HP! I grew up with it and it brought me an insane amount of joy' doesn't mean I can't see that it has some serious flaws, and that the people behind it and currently producing more in the universe are being generally awful.
Transformers has really overthrown HP for me on pretty much every level haha

I have some problem with people defending her XD Because she's so obvious, how can you not see that? x.x
I've never been into mecha things, but I can respect anyone who is into it :)

Blind loyalty? Thinking that cause you like HP you must approve of everything the author does/says or at least turn a blind eye to it cause 'without them we wouldn't have it in the first place' or sth like that I guess?
I can't relate, its choosing the easy road over the right one.
It's actually one of the main reason I chose to lessen my involvement with the Belgian Potterhead group. I used to be one of the main meet holders c':
But I definitely have found a more wholesome fandom in Transformers, so I'm good ~

As long as it's not toxic, it's good

It's sad that fandoms can 'make or break' ones liking of sth
My personal tip is to only ever focus on finding a small group of people you get along with in more than just certain specific themes in fandom, and then your whole experience with the content is all the better for it.
My I can also perfectly enjoy content all by myself and stick to a more spectator-role in fandoms

Meh, I personally have no problem with her wanting to make tons of money and going for it. Hell, if I was her I'd probably want to make my empire as big as possible and support my generations of family to come.
In other news, I found out there is a Harry Potter mini light up village. I really want it, but the pieces are, of course, crazy expensive. I am thinking I might save up and try to collect one piece every year at Christmas.

Popodoki wrote:They're making 5. First it was going to be a trilogy, now its 5. Basically feels like they've started this with the pure thought of milking the HP universe out of all its got and not much more, and it sadly shows :'c
I liked the first one a lot, but now they're moving in way too much plot to the point its not about the actual Fantastic Beasts anymore, they're trying to create a whole new series yet haven't bothered to get some facts straight. I saw it last night. Didn't extremely dislike it mind, but overall I left with a feeling of 'meh this isn't my thing anymore'.
Now the upcoming Bumblebee movie, that's got me hyped up way more :'D
I really don't get how they want to get 5 movies out of this... But yeah, the first one was pretty fun! I loved seeing all the beasts brought to life.
I actually saw the trailer for bumblebee in the cinema when we went to watch fantastic beasts. It looked fun!

JKR can make all the money she wants, I just rather it not be at the expense of her fans c':
that sounds super cute, and that would actually be a pretty nice thing to do for yourself. Having something to look forward to is fun and so is treating yourself :P
