If ouch was my safe word I'd never get to do anything. lol.
I have chronic pain so I'm always saying ow or ouch.

For my first year in uni we got assigned rooms and roommates, hence how I got extremely unlucky.

I moved out in my second year, to this shared basement suite... which had its own bunch of issues (mold, damp, bugs galore...) //sighs

I think a reason why I'm so okay with living at home right now is that it followed terrible terrible renting conditions that I'm still traumatized from LOL
Moving back to mom's immaculate house was like going from hell to heaven

It does sound like you had some really difficult situations with renting.

My mom has a bit of a hoarding problem so her house is a worse disaster than mine. lol.

I wish that I had an immaculate home. Sounds awesome.

How big is her house? Mine is kind of big. We inherited it from spouse's mom when she died.

I'm amazed that you even feel like it, I mean, chronic pain must be seriously harmful for any libido.

Oh, my libido is unimpaired by chronic pain. lol. It's a little much at times. Which is annoying because spouse's is pretty low.

We are polyamorous, but finding a new lover is difficult. Too many conservatives where I live. I don't want to couple with people who think people like me don't deserve rights.

Never underestimate the horrors of a basement suite in a rainy city. No matter how nice the place looked at the beginning......

One of the last straws that broke my metaphorical back was getting bedbugs. The fumigation process was painful.... That was right before the pandemic hit too. SO I took the chance and noped the fuck out of there

My mom is a really impressive lady, she's strict on me but stricter on herself. My living habits got so much better since moving back so I'm counting the blessings.
Our house is a single house in a semi-suburban area. It's really convenient, close to shops and schools (and the sea!).

I can see that a basement room would be bad in most cases. They're known for flooding and damp and not being great for living in general. I hope that the rent was really cheap at the very least.

The rent WAS very cheap, and it was close to my uni, so a "perfect" choice for poor college/newly working me back then

I find that my living habits tend to mirror whoever I live with.
When I had roommates who didn't really clean, I was a slob too.
When I live with people who prioritize cleaning, I become a neat freak too.
