High school was hit, score, miss.. bit of everything really. Though without it I wouldn't have met Peter.

I plan to do either Certificate IV in Information Technology Networking or Certificate IV in Programming I think.

well I know either the cert 4 in programming or networking next year is what I want to do.

Then hopefully get a job at my Tafe.

Usually the best parts of those years is the friends/relations you make along the way. My school years were super stressful and far from fun but I wouldn't change my course if I had the chance cause it got me some great friends!

I didn't like school when I was a kid. My home life sucked butt. And I struggled with assignments and staying awake. Lots of my teachers just gave up on me really quick. I never understood why kids that were deliberately destructive and hateful in class got more empathy than me.

Guess that school was tough for all of us, huh?

I thought I had friends at school until they turned their backs on me in 7th grade. Some of them "returned" to be my friends again in 8th grade, but I never felt as if we were real friends again. I retained like 3 close friends from school. I was good at school, but some subjects were totally useless and some teachers sucked.
Looking back at it - university is where I belong.

I had three friends at school, then something flipped out in 6th grade and I felt super alone in everything. In middle school I found my bestie but we parted ways in high school and that was super tough until I met Ash. Then uni was kind of nice regarding the people, although I never made any more great friends. The studying was killing me, giving me too much anxiety. I much more prefer to be just working ;o
After work I can do my own thing and not be worried about any assignments or homework and on top of that, I get paid XD I hardly ever get anxiety of "what's going to happen on Monday/tomorrow" because my job is very repetitive and even with surprising events it's not nearly as stressful as school was for me.

so much more important that you like your job imo, cause you have to work far longer than you 'have' to study! xD

Oh yes, definitely agree. I've worked at a place that I felt very wrong at, I tried to hang on for a full month, but didn't make it. I just couldn't make myself stay there hating my boss and hating the ridiculous tasks he was giving me. Being a secretary/personal assistant ain't for me. My bf would tell me "it's a pretty easy job, what's so hard about it for you?" and I'm like, "people, anxiety, everything x.x"
So yeah, I can't imagine someone doing a job they hate for a long period of time. I mean, my mom is on that exact spot, she's been working that one job for years and it's been destroying her to bits. She's under constant stress and it takes a toll on her health, both physical and mental.

mental and emotional stress really shouldn't be underestimated. Mostly meaning your work relations. If you hate your boss/colleagues or just don't get along with them/feel isolated from them it really drags on your mental wellbeing. (other) People can make or break a situation :x

Yeah, but try telling her she should just quit. She's too terrified because she doesn't have experience in anything else and she has some debts (not big compared to the biggest, but it's also not a small number) so.... she did this to herself. But while she could send out applications, she's too full of anxiety to do it, at least not on her own. I have to sit by and do it with her. It's kind of like babysitting an adult and making sure they get their shit together ^^;

At least I had the comfort of just quitting that job I hated because I don't have any liabities and also my bf had me covered financially, plus I had some savings. And I live with my grandma. My mom is a completely different story, and she's not the only one who's living like this, which is extremely sad.

I have only ever had two jobs that I didn't completely despise. I worked in student records in college and then as a internet and a phone repair call center person.

I liked both of those jobs a whole lot. But due to my chronic pain and fatigue I missed a lot of work and I ended up getting fired.

Now I'm trying to get on disability so I can help hubs pay for the rent.
