Well the thing I've noticed is there are always certain top contenders. High rankers are always LCK & Moi I believe along with Veene. Penny's also a top contender a lot as well.

Yup, but being the tops ones now does not mean they'll win.
Last month I was 3rd most of the time, with a few other avatars close to me.
At the end, we all got honorable mentions, and someone who was behind got the 3rd place.
Depending on the tastes of people rating each day, things may change much.

Is it me, or cosplays are winning

The cosplay thing really has been ticking me off -.- there are only so many that should win but now people are starting to do it more and more because they see have good luck. So I fear that will continue unless we stop making them win <<;

Yeah...
I seen only one or two really good cosplays
the rest looks thrown together

For example since that new male hair came out in the chinatown set I've seen attempts at Ranma 1/2 left and right x.x;

I'm sure now we'll see a few Knuffels too -.-;

Yup, I kinda agree.

I have my old cosplays and I want to enter them, but there are so many ones that it makes them look less interesting to my eyes :|
But they probably would get better results.

Still I don't think it's bad to have cosplays. If they're original and they do really resemble the original!
