Ohh there's no textbooks c: there's some papers to read. These courses are thought by people conducting research in those fields so its just them teaching xD and notes taking. Usually courses with textbooks have exams and stuff. We have quizes at most

Ha ha, I enjoy science but can get into trouble with the math sometimes. >.< The people who do it as their primary thing, I have a lot of respect for them!

I don't think I've ever actually found a field of study that I'm NOT interested by, really. Just some I'm not very good at, and definitely some teaching styles that don't suit me. But the subjects... well, I guess if a subject truly wasn't of any possible interest it would never have been developed enough to be called a subject! So there is that.
I have ended up creating hand-crafted manuscript art but most of the classes I took while I was still in school were entirely unrelated to that. My grandmother just laughs as says it runs in the family; she got her degree in sociology, but ended up working in the field of atmospheric optics. My own parents also did the same thing; studied one thing and ended up working at something else.

But no knowledge is ever truly wasted, so that's alright.
