One of my friends has taken the plunge and created a secret ao3 account so she could write whatever unhinged fanfics come to mind and honestly if I had the motivation, I'd probably do the same.

Why does it have to be a secret one lol? Besides, if you know about it, how is it secret? XD
I’ve had a03 for a few years now. It was way before the whole “invite” thing.

Its a secret because no one knows her username so no one she knows in real life can finder and know its her.

but ya know, i was surprised when ao3 started only allowing people with invites to join the site. i'm glad i joined before that became an issue.

i made an account because i wanted to write as well. but then i never got past one chapter for long chaptered fics. XD;;

oh well. I'm pretty sure a lot of people just post one chapter and then start a new project.
