Popodoki - I'm not sure how much you would have to eat for it to give you a buzz but I feel like it probably wouldn't taste good at all. lol.

I've never tried pot brownies or anything like that. I took a couple hits off of a joint once but all that it did to me was make me cough and my throat hurt really bad for a couple of days.

DC - Oh I didn't know that. That's adorable.

Akili Li - I looked up rugelach and I think that they are pretty similar. I don't know about taste, but they look a lot alike.

LR & Popodoki - Man my schools constantly had all kinds of fundraisers. I grew up in a super poor area.

I've never seen the appeal in even trying but I'm fine with anyone making that decision for themselves c:

I've only ever seen baking sales etc as a thing that happens in American movies xD (with suburban mom drama added to it ofc)

I definitely see the appeal. Being able to just chill for a while. Not worry about most things.

Oh they are super common in the US. Any time someone wants to get money for something bake sales are a good way to go. We do like our desserts. lol.

So my favorite use of bake sale is that my aunt runs one to raise money for kids with diabetes to go to camp. It amuses me so much. Like, it's a good cause. It just seems a little insensitive. lol.

One thing that's done here is some foundations do sales, but they sell like pens or calendars, no baked goods.

The Red Cross sells stickers yearly. My brother's volleyball club did a gingerbread sale I think, but not homebaked they just got a big load and put them in lil bags c':

yeah, I think it's partly determined by local laws on food selling and where they were made -a lot of places have to have food that's sold for money be made in places that have been inspected by health department officials, stuff like that. And bake-sales are usually not able to do that, since it's a bunch of people making stuff in their personal kitchens and donating the results to be sold, so.....

Feeling pretty decent, even if my to-do list is about four books long at this point.

How about yourself?

Either we don't have those kinds of laws in Kentucky or just everyone ignores them. lol. Either of those seem equally likely.
