From what I kind of know, similar to Canada and UK's health system..

I know next to nothing about the differences in health care etc :x

I'm extremely lucky in the sense that my bff works in healthcare, so I don't have to understand it, she's got it covered xD

In healthcare, America is an odd duck, and not in a good way.

Although for my disease specifically, we have better care, sort of. That is, if you’re willing to travel, in general.

Yeah, America has like the worst healthcare evvvverrrr. Okay, I'm sure there are worst places but for a so called 'first world' country, it's awful.

I recently almost got stuck with a $500 er bill because the hospital didn’t bill right.

It’s really dumb.

We complained a lot and they fixed it, but it was a pain.

A couple of times I went to the emergency room and I got like 1500 bill each time. And then ambulance rides are like 500.

It's awful.

To be honest a lot of the time I just don't pay those bills. I don't make any money and we're barely surviving on Kevin's income. It sucks. My credit is HORRIBLE. lol.

The way America treats people who need medical care is like “lol too bad for you, now pay up.”

Too true. I think that the US is like that with everything though. Like need food? Nope, pay a bunch of money. Need housing? Nope. Live on the street.

I guess the healthcare is just so noticeable because it leads to lots of troubles with everything else.

And let’s be super judgemental if someone needs -gasp- government help! Look at my precious taxes being wasted!
