Kingdom of Knuffel

It's a pretty small tank so I give up pretty fast. That or I give up when my back starts hurting >-> boredom or pain, which ever kicks in first.

I probably won't do this with the larger tank I plan on getting. o3o

My cats don't have interest in the tank for some reason.. so boring >:x

Watch... we get the 40g and a betta and 2 tiger plecos (L397) and maybe some Chili Rasboras ... they'll be smashing their face against the tank to get at them >:x but the shrimp... it's like they don't see them! no interest what so ever!!!!


I didn't know what was going on at first. o3o the instructions are in japanese, though i downloaded the english version that bandai has up.. took me forever to realize that it was a demon attack!

the shrimp ARE kinda small. and almost transparent. XD so you can't blame them.

i dunno, guess you'll find out lol.

Mom's pain management doc gave me weird looks when I showed off my shirmpies... and then when I said I wanted to get a bigger tank to house Blue Dream Shrimp and maybe some fish.. she was all:

Be careful, the bigger the fish the more likely they'll eat the shrimp!

um.. 1... Bigger tank doesn't mean bigger fish. 2... even small fish will try and eat the shrimp >-> idiot...

Now if it were like a 160g+ I'd probably be able to get a few gold fish .. because those guys get big and they are major poop machines, which is why it's considered cruel to keep them in fish bowls and small tanks.

lol I see. You should get small cute fish, the kinds that dart around with pretty colours. Or guppies. If you’re lucky, they’d breed and you can get more lol. We used to have fish and guppies and we got babies from them lol.

My plan is a community tank of
1 Koi Betta (not sure if I want a male or female yet but definantly a plakat kind)
2 L397 Alenquer Tiger Pleco (male and female pair to breed)
10+ Chili Rasboras
10+ Blue Dream Shrimp

Hmmm well maybe just start off small lol. Fish and such are animals, put too many of them together and you might stress them out. So start it off slowly. C:

Yea. The shrimp will be the first to go in, but after 2 months after the tank has cycled.

Then the plecos, after the shrimp have established themselves. Then the rasboras.. let them establish themselves then later get the betta o3o

or should I get the betta before the rasboras.. -rolls-

From what I know, bettas can be pretty aggressive so it’s probably better to introduce them last? Maybe? If you introduce them first, they might attack any newcomers you put in. I dunno, you’d have to do some research first.
