Peter, my partner, his dad stopped smoking like over 30 years ago.

He still got throat cancer.

Then later like just a few years ago ish, he got bowl cancer and other issues.

I mean part of it could be because he worked in the navy but I think most of it was the smoking and the cells in his body just being all nope.

the best thing to do is to never start smoking at all. But esp in the early years of cigarettes people didn't even know they were that harmful so its always easier said than done to even quit when you've been smoking for so long. Its an official addiction for a reason :c

Haha you should hear mom's stories and stuff when it comes to cigs..

God yes and they always sound so proud?? Like "eh I had my first cigar when I was 11 and I liked it! Back then they weren't all panicky about it!"

my man back then they hadn't linked it to cancer and the like yet, ignorance is bliss but not something to be freaking proud off X.x

Also why I don't like coffee xD started 'too young'

ha I only like coffee if its more like 60-70% milk and lots of sugar c':

I rarely drank it during uni, remember one time going to Starbucks with my study group and decided to get what everyone else was having which was plain dark coffee. Not even really strong but I remember sipping and thinking 'oh God actual coffee is not for me'. I tended to fill my thermos with chai instead :P

My drink of choice is Green Tea with Aloe

I'm trying to cut back/stop drinking soda but mom seems to believe that soda helps her feel better... and we drink the no caffeine stuff! Dx
