First I start off with how I want the story to begin and end

then I add bits to what happens in between those two points

from there i add conversations that need to happen so I don't forget

eventually it ends up looking more like a first draft than an outline xD

So do you outline by just writing the frist and last scenes and then slowly fill out what's in between, starting with the most important points in the story? Or do you make a list of sorts? Do you use some kind of timeline?

It's more like a list.

[MC decides to do xxx which starts the story]


[the final battle between xxx and MC happen
list things that happens in fight]

then you add stuff in between

[MC decides to do xxx which starts the story]

[MC restores this]

[MC travels here]

list things that happens in fight]

then you add conversations you imagine the mc having that are important and need to be added when you start actually writing.
then you add smaller events in each section
then you flesh it out in a first draft ovo

I don't really use a timeline.. o3o

Okay, I get it. It all seems so simple until I sit down to outline by myself I kind of have three main characters so there's that XD I tried making a timeline but failed so far. Maybe I'll try after November though. Juggling NaNoWriMo in between work and outlining/world building is hell

Aww, sorry to hear that! Are you feeling better now or will you go see a doctor about it?

I'm still blah... but I'm not gonna go to a doctor. Transportation requires two days notice to take someone somewhere.. by then I'll be feeling better =A=

I'll inform my doctor when I go in for my check up next month.

What do you mean with transportation? :o
