I wonder why since we have one Treasure Trove Update with 3-4 items each month always paired with a food shop update that outnumbers the Treasure Trove items by far and have been doing this for about 3 years already, with no change in this proceeding.
There hasn't been anything changed regarding FC and its usage on KOfK since the introduction of Fairy Coins.

I think maybe because she means people have been talking a lot about FCs and their inflation, and tons of drama/talk about it, and now the drawing contest FCs are being given as prizes instead of items so it seems like FCs are the current focus of KofK, not specifically the Admins, but the community.
I don't know. I miss when food was actually a currency unlike now x.x
I know you're working on ways to fix that, this being one of them :)

But see, here's the thing. Giving FC out as prizes means that KofK is actually potentially losing FC income that might have come in by someone who would have donated to get those FCs. It also means more FCs in circulation which may mean people selling them which might mean the prices for FCs going down. So I took that as less FC FC FC and more trying to curb the inflation of FCs.

That and I think Firn doesn't want to introduce more old items into circulation until all the updates are done.
