Kingdom of Knuffel

We have a lot of wild life in upstate NY. The deer here are not that afraid of people either in some places. In one I town I lived in, the local deer would just walk up to people.

Well even if we get wild life, I don’t see it much in my area. Like it’s only luck if I see rabbits or coyotes or deer or something.

They are probably more wary of people over there.

maybe? i dunno, maybe we just got more buildings.

So I was supposed to go out today and try and take care of the budding hayfield which is technically meant to be a grass lawn, and of course, the scythe needed a new handle. Which I did not notice at all earlier because I am apparently blind.
Ugh.
There's a neighbor that has a motorized thing but it's noisy and heavy and stinks and it's fussy about blade height and I don't like it. It's unpleasant to use and you don't get the same satisfaction when you're done, either, and I'm pretty sure I can't afford it if it breaks when I'm using it.
So now I have to either wait until my scythe is fixed, or borrow The Monstrosity.

The weather outside is very good right now.
The weather inside my head is thunderstorming.

At least it's just the handle. That's a lot cheaper than replacing the blade.

Hayfield? Lol
We got wild rabbits and maint workers for our little yards. XD

Even when the forecast says it's supposed to be dry, we will get a little rain shower either early morning or in the evening. The grass in my yard is so tall!

The dandelions are coming back up. Maintenance here usually helps in cutting grass so our grass doesn’t usually get that high. Altho it is getting warmer. I should think about switching out my winter blanket.

Dandelions are nice. Among all the weeds out there, I think dandelions might be top favorite.
They're pretty and don't have prickers or thorns, and they're edible, and there are so many fun myths and stories about them.
I would trade you the hayfield for a dandelion farm...

I don’t want dandelions lol. You can have mine. Pftha. I just want normal grass.
