Yeah, I really think it is just a contest for fun, and voting
isn't all based on your "skill" or whatever. Just as long as
we get entries, I think that is the important thing.
Nothing has to be perfect.

I wish to get better at art.
I get told by some "your art is already good"
but.. heh... not compared to the people I look up to.
So in the end it is just a terrible cycle...
Moi - You should learn to love what you make, and
love what you do. If you do then you'll draw more
often... and really... improving in art really is just
doing it over and over again.

but that is all Advise i can't even follow myself.

I draw everyday.
There is no more "often".

I have improved greatly in less than a year.

But I still don't like my current art.
It's messy and uninteresting.

And I'm not going to like anything I make until I think it's good enough.

I just wish I could look at my art and see what other people see. The good and the bad.

I'm going to go now.
I'm in a very bitter mood.

I'm currently working on Fungus and will post him when I'm done.

I worked for nearly 9 hours on something yesterday
and after I finished, I was still unimpressed by it.

I don't have to like everything I make.
Especially if I don't think it's good enough.

I actually think that drawing is one of your better ones.
Only thing I see missing is shading on the wings, but the
wings them selves are drawn really nicely.
In truth I think it is really good.

but that is a part of being an artists..
You never really like what you make and
always want it to be better.
Thats what my dad told me as a child
because my mom was an artist.
(and i thought) really good one too,
and i didn't understand why she didn't
think so too. So in a way...

Peoples opinion of art is based on what
they themselves can do. Like singers...
(i've been told) people who are really good
at singing will tend to be mean to those who
can't and be blunt with there opinion of it.
So I'm sure really wonderful professional
artists think meh about alot of other peoples art.
I just wish one day I could be considered good
by someone who I've idolized for there art.

but in a way, that is just my thoughts on it.
I'm pessimistic and so any compliment i hear is bull.
haha, really depressing sometimes.

in truth, I hate my style...but i am locked in it and I
can't exactly make anything look nice in any other
style I try... I end up drawing "cute" like things.

I want my style to be more elegant, beautiful and mature like.

Doki: It's all right.
For some reason in the past few days, I've been getting really irritable.
I don't know if it's stress, the heat, my bipolar disorder or caffeine intake.

I did not draw it, it was drawn by a friend.
I've been coloring her art because she has no tablet/program.
And the wings do have shading.
I can see it on my desktop, but on my laptop, I can't see it.
I do all my art on my desktop which is darker than the laptop.

And yes, Vin and Firn say their art sucks and I want to smack them both <<
They're two artists that inspire me and they're way better than me.

Those are very nice samples.
You can always change your style.
Mine has changed slightly.

I'm dying to get into this art class at college, but I don't know
if I can afford to get in.

aww, well you did very good at coloring the hair.
and i see. It always sucks when the monitor
brightness effects coloring and such.

for having this site, because i always wanted one
myself. Another hopeless dream though.

I'll try... but my style has changed a bit over time,
I just don't feel i can change it because... i'll end up
doing it bad, and refuse to go and further with it.

If anyone ever has problems on DA with things not being in the right folder, just let me know or most likely I will see them and move them. You don't need to delete you art, and don't feel is bothering me ether. Its my duty I took on when I made the group. XD

Moi - I really like that recent one you did. Your latest ones have impressed me. It still amazes me how fast you are improving. :mcshock:

And it made me happy to see you posting stuffs in the group. Your art, I feel, is part of the community on KofK and deserves to be seen. =3

It was stuff I'd just uploaded so I wasn't really losing anything by deleting them. ^^; And I wanted them moved before I got any "Silly Sierrie, you're not a kingdom character!" comments. :P
