My Mom once had the idea that if she made the flower beds larger and had more of them then Dad wouldn't have to do so much mowing. Now there are so many things to steer around when we mow. :mcsweat:

My mom hated mowing the lawn so badly we now have 3 trees growing in the middle of what used to be our grass. :}

So instead of less things to mow and thus time saved, she made an obstacle course and costs more time

Well in our case the uprooting done by the trees left us without any grass. So no more mowing at all. :}

I've thought about doing that native species yard thing that a lot of areas are touting, but the way weeds and trees sprout up around here I don't think I want to mess with it.

Be a small one, a grove, and he's already low key started it in one corner behind the garage
