Yeah I'm super super thankful for my parents, they sacrificed a lot for me.

Here's the thing, these entertainers, even if they get blacklisted, don't have to do much because they're already LOADED. One of the biggest issues with the Chinese entertainment industry is that idols are getting paid stupid amounts of money for their appearances in shows and whatnot, regardless of their skill, as long as they have crazy fans willing to pay. It really warped the industry (because terrible terrible TV shows are being produced with terrible acting and just... bad) and that's a big reason (from what I know) that the government took measures D:
(Not that it helped, the industry is still just as bad...)

I'm glad. Mine...did not. My mom is a lot better now that I'm an adult. But really, that woman should not have been allowed to have or raise children. Good god.

Well, I guess it's nice that they're not completely fucked over. And maybe they can move to a different country and start over?
I don't know how feasible that is.

I think that the highest level entertainers are super overpaid here too. Especially athletes. It's crazy that they make so much money.

Celebrities are paid a ton regardless of where, but I feel like in Hollywood at least most of the highest paid actors have acting skills. In China some idols are literally paid billions and they have no skills whatsoever besides having a pretty face and fans. It is a huge topic of controversy in the Chinese fandom sphere right now @_@

I'm still partially dependent on her. She pays for our groceries. But she's a lot better now that I don't live with her. Can't talk to her too much or crazy thing come out of her mouth. lol.

I do not have a face for entertainment. I would have to wear a mask all the time.

But it's really uncool that they make so much even though they suck. There are a lot of super awesome actors that I wish they would cast more.

Sometimes I get really anxious about appearances, but sometimes I think being pretty is a double edged sword @.@

Being average is nice XD

It's actually kind of hilarious the fan mentality in the Chinese industry. Like "omg so and so shows expression changes in their new show! What a huge improvement they're such a good actor now" /D;;;;;

Yeah i love MDZS, the fandom is pretty crazy but i’m really just on the fringes. I’m not crazy crazy over it, i’ll read a fanfic here and there, buy a figurine or shirt or art or something…xD

And i’m in my 30s too.

I had a phase where I was super I to MDZS. Read all the fanfics, made fanart level into it XD
The Chinese fandom have some extremely epic fanfics. Especially some fun crossovers with the author's other works. Unfortunately that's also where the crazy is too @_@

Oh i never got into the Chinese fandom of it. I know how crazy THAT is. I’m more casual when it comes to my MDZS phase, i read a few fanfics, like some fanart on twitter. XD that sorta thing

I think the main part of the Chinese fandom that went awry was the influx of really really young fans, like 12-year-olds. Soooo the maturity level went down real fast.
Like nothing wrong with being excited, it just got a bit offputting to see pages filled with comments basically worshipping the characters like they're real people/gods and bashing any other famous Chinese BL novels because "MDSZ is the BEST"

Have you read any other Chinese novels? I'd recommend anything written by the author Priest, her storytelling is really good!

I remember Priest. Dunno why though, I’m sure it was because of….oh Faraway Wanders AKA Word of Honor. XD never read it but i watched at least half of the live action. XP

Sooo my direct supervisor and my supervisor’s supervisor just took me aside and talked to me about a few issues. AND they brought up insubordination again and i’m literally like “WTF, what did i do THIS TIME that made it appear that i was insubordinate???” Like i didn’t want to ASK because i was scared but…seriously? Me, goody two shoes, insubordinate? 8U IM SO CONFUSED. I’m literally trying to go over my last few days to see what i might’ve done and like stress panicking…8U
