I'm absolutely on it, filling up the trade.

Let me give you a rundown of my situation:
She lives about 2 hours away from my room at uni, and 4 hours away from home since she started studying. We meet every two weeks in choir, where, obviously, there is not much alone time.
We hug and hold hands and stuff and I absolutely believe that we have some weird unspoken agreement about "I'm gonna be heartbroken if you get someone else" because I have not heard a single peep about her fancying anyone. And I'm one of her best friends, and I used to get told those kind of things.
But then she also says things about her fake boyfriend (long story) and I'm just like, what? And then she asks me if I'm looking for a guy and I'm like, what?
SO THINGS ARE COMPLICATED
And I don't really want my heart broken anytime soon bc if I get to see her any less than I do I'm going to go insane. So I'd really rather not say anything.

Oh dear, that does sound complicated. Maybe instead of confessing, start with probing questions like, what sort of things she looks for in a significant other, what she finds attractive. Easy questions for friends to talk about.
You know what would be a nice, simple gift? A pin, like something to do with music?

Yeah, I met one of the friends from this thread a year back. (I think. Not that good with times.) It's nice, but it was also weird.
