Looking at the date of the last post, this hangout is probably not active anymore? :mccry:
I used to be active in this hangout, but I haven't been online for the past 4 years. And was kinda hoping that there might still be people here that I used to talk with :mcheh: So, if anyone is actually still following this thread, how are you doing and what's been going on?

Hey hotaru! How are you doing? It looks like most people have moved on from here. I think initially everyone left migrated over to the Happy Sky hangout, but it seems that one's losing activity too, now.

I have to admit I just felt like I was too busy to continually post here all the time, with uni and just life in general. I also have three roommates to potentially bother whenever something's wrong, so i haven't needed the validation of my life choices as much recently as I used to when i was still younger and very much figuring myself out. I've recently just met someone I think might actually be the one, so I've been seeing him the last few weeks, already met his family abd everything. It's nice, but still very busy all in all, and even though I felt the need to write this now, I couldn't tell you whether I'd be able to keep up chatting for weeks on end at this moment in time.

Every month when the treasure trove update email goes out I think about this thready and how much it meant to me. It changed so much, as did I and everyone involved. The people who started it with me mostly left the site way before I did, but I guess there's just so much... life that gets between us and this site sometimes. And it's sad, because I do miss the friends I made here, but I know that here on the internet, that's just how it is sometimes and people don't like you less just for not being online.

Also I got my hair cut today and have like a 1cm pimple in my face lmao

Update me then, how's life on your end?

Hi Lulu :mcsquee: I was halve expecting that no-one would react due to the time of the last post. And I might have checked your profile for your last visit time which was a year ago. I'm not stalking or anything So I was surprised and really happy when I saw that you replied. This was the place were I was most active four years ago... Wow, that's actually kinda a really long time ago. But I do remember spending lots of time on this site, & specifically this hangout, and I thought about it some days ago. And than the nostalgia hit me hard enough to make me post again.

I became busy with uni as well and I also suddenly made more friends than I ever had in primary and high school, so life became too busy. Though to be honest, I was limited to a small group of friends for the first part of studying. A rather... uhmmm... complicated group... Not the best anyway. And I've already stopped seeing 2 of those people. The third person is still a very good friend though. But that kept me way too busy as well.
Thinking back, a lot of things happened these last 4 years :mcshock: Including finishing my bachelors and I've been on fieldwork to Spain twice now. And I made lots of friends during the second time and afterwards. But uni has also been steadily claiming more and more of my time. Including to the point where I couldn't take it anymore during last autumn.
Aw, now I kinda regret not being here while writing my thesis... Maybe for my Master's thesis? I don't actually know if I'll keep up Kofk that long this time, but I'll see...
Oh, and I've have moved out of my mother's house. Was I still active when I did that? Or did I stop just before I moved? Must have been around the same time.

But it's great to hear that you're doing fine and that you've potentially found the one. How did you meet? at uni? (Or is that a too personal question? :P)
It sounds like you're getting along well with flatmates, which is always nice.
And oeh, what's your new haircut like? (And 1 cm is HUGE :mcshock: )

Oh yeah, I just came around because someone posted here. At some point I just felt like I shouldn't try to revive this on my own any more, since it wouldn't work, and if I came around I'd just post in Happy Sky instead. So of course I got an email when you posted here, and wondered who on earth was posting here. :mcconf:

I absolutely know what you mean with your friends. I try to stick around with the ones I can keep around, but I do think we're at a point where we're old enough to simply say that it's not working out with someone if it's not working out with someone, so I don't try to unnecessarily glue myself to anyone anymore.

One of my roommates was actually in Spain last semester! In Cádiz. But I guess you were doing something a little different, she just went to uni there.

And I honestly can't remember the last thing you told us when you left. How's it been living on your own? I've felt quite good living here but I like to go home to my mum and little sister as much as I can.

Yeah my flatmates tend to rotate, we got two new ones last semester and there are only four rooms..... But they're really nice. We got lucky.

Chin length, with a fringe. The way I like it. (I think it may actually be three pimples too close to each other, having morphed into one mega-pimple. :mcmeh: )

My boyfriend and I met at practical teacher training at school. We're at the same school, and, I don't know, when we first met I kinda saw him and liked him, and he saw me and liked me, and it just snowballed from there, I guess. I wasn't expecting to get a boyfriend with everything else going on right now, but you don't really get a choice in when it happens, do you? I am extremely happy with him though.

I do have to go to school tomorrow again, actually. It's the last week of practical training so it's only until friday and then I can sleep a bit more, but I have to get up at 6 tomorrow so I'll bid you a good night for now :mchappy: Sleep well.

Oops, I was already almost in bed when you replied :mcheh: That's one thing that has changed; I've started to sleep more and earlier. I actually have a sleeping pattern of going to bed early and waking up at seven. And now I'll get extremely tired whenever I'm awake until 12...

When it comes to my friends, I think that I won't see most of them when I finish uni, since I won't be able to keep up with it. But I'm actually kinda fine by that, because I will still have fond memories of them and I'll probably meet lots of new people. Plus, I've also made friends I will probably keep seeing later in my life as well.
But in the case of that small group, it was more that it felt like a suffocating prison. So it was actually pretty hard to distance myself from them. But at one point I mustered the courage and now the third person (who's still my friend) and I are a lot happier, making it worth it. (Thinking about it I'm actually glad that I didn't visit this site back then. Because I'm pretty sure that they would have made it part of the same suffocating experience, following me here and stuff. And that would have sucked the joy out quickly...)

We mostly go to the middle of nowhere for fieldwork where we work in the field all day and have to do more work in the evening...

I live in a house with 6 flatmates who are all awesome. We don't rotate that often actually. 3 of the 6 people were already here before I moved in 4 years ago. The flat is in a town/village close to city of my uni. So there's lots of greenery around and I can see squirrels from my room. Though, I don't visit my mom as much as I want to, 'cause uni is keeping me busy and tired.
I now realised that my Dragon Age obsession started after I stopped coming here :mcshock:

Meeting someone like that sounds nice! And having a boyfriend is probably also good because you can confide in him and snuggle up to him when you're feeling down. But that you're happy with him is great and in the end more important than how you met.

What kind of practical training? To be honest I kinda forgot what you did at uni :mcconf:

And your haircut sounds nice! I still have my hair the way I used to have it...

Writing that was the last thing I did yesterday. I've also managed to get a fairly steady sleeping pattern going, but I only got home at ten yesterday so I didn't really have much of a choice other than go to bed past my bedtime.

That does sound fairly awful :/ But I do understand how it can be hard to leave a group like that, sometimes you just feel like you have no other options.

I wish my flatmates were that steady, but it's not because they can't be, it's because they all change uni or silly things like that. I'm glad your flatmates are so great! Living a bit closer to nature sounds great. My place is on the edge of the town, 10 minutes to uni by bus.

You're going to have to remind me what kind of fieldwork you do and what you're studying. In exchange I'll remind you that I studying English and German to work as a teacher. The practical training is watching other teachers teach and teaching some lessons yourself. To be honest, I'm glad it'll be over after this week, I'm so tired of waking up early.

Yeah, my boyfriend is trying really hard to make me happy all the time. He still does the wrong things sometimes, but we really don't know each other that much, after all, so it's forgivable.

I'm meeting a good friend of mine in Frankfurt today. I last saw her in November, so it'll be fun today!

I'm still around *wave*

Daily user still :3 just active in other places since this one isn't alive anymore. Since I was already finished with uni 4 years ago I don't think very much has changed in my life haha~~ I bought a house? And I think last time you were here I had an office job, but not for long before I went back to running my own business full time.

Hi grey ^^ (That was the short version of your name right? :mcblush: )
Woohooo~ More people are still around on Kofk
And buying a house is awesome! As long as it is a house you're happy with?
What kind of business do you run?

We did had one flatmate who moved out again after one year because he wanted a place in the city itself.
But if you live on the edge of town, than nature is pretty close to you as well? And yes, seeing multiple trees outside my window just beyond my balcony is awesome. Though there is also a kinda busy road in front of my room...

And you're becoming a teacher? Hehe, you're the third person I know who's a teacher. (Including Kabu btw, who is now a Math teacher.) I guess having to teach and control a class can also be extremely tiring?

I'm studying to became a geologist. No idea what I'm going to do after uni though... I'm kinda considering trying to continue with a PhD, but I'm not quite sure whether I'm really PhD material. Plus, the stories I hear about the researcher-world are kinda scary. But I do like doing research...
The fieldwork I do is walking around an area and looking at rocks. Rocks are fun :mcsquee: And also mapping the different types of rocks and stuff to be able to figure out things like the geological history.

Sounds like you're better than me with keeping up with old friends ^^"

We're definitely happy with it ^^ we don't like our neighbours right now which is a shame, but we were planning to move soon anyway. It's too small a house for starting a family in, so we'll be upgrading to a larger place with a garden once we build up a little more savings.

I do a lot of stuff >.> I can't keep still haha. But mainly I'm a freelance writer.
In a lot of different fields, mostly ghostwriting for other businesses.

Hey gray! Too bad you bought a house that you're going to be moving from, seems like a shame. :/ But I'm glad to know you're doing well enough to be planning a family :)

I guess asking which businesses you write for would defeat the purpose of ghostwriting?

Well it is kind of, but the nature's uphill so......

It all depends on what kind of students you get. The classes I taught were really nice and easy to calm down if they did get loud. They're getting muffins today. :) I think teaching properly is the hardest part of it.

Well if you enjoy it so much you could at least shoot for PhD? I'm sure everything's scarier from the outside.

we keep up because she keeps up
