It really is. but i found way he described the everything else we do hillarious and sadly accurate. He says its like putting a large frozen turkey on top of a loaf of bread. (sadly this is true because he's 2 and a half times my weight)

Oh, so it's the broad term for the Japanese writing system. I don't like to call it an alphabet because as a linguist alphabet means one symbol for one sound. like ㅌ for t. Japanese doesn't have an alphabetic system since one symbol stands for a syllable, not a sound. which is why I would say that it's harder since for Korean, all syllables including t sound will have the ㅌ in it but it's not the case for the Japanese writing system. Like I don't believe that the Japanese syllables including t sound doesn't necessarily share the same symbol for all syllables including that sound. Plus, all languages differ slightly from their written counter past. For example, I believe that in Japanese, putting ha and tsuki together doesn't make hatsuky but hazuki. Right?

Katakana is one alphabet and Hiragana is the other. It's not just
Katakana. Kana is the term for them both together. If that makes sense.
And Katakana is the word for the alphabet that they use for writing foreign words.
It is a word.
And Hangul is about 6x harder to read than Kana.
Kana, they all make the same sound, all the time.
And Hangul, the symbols are all the same, but they change depending
on different parts of the word.
But with Kana . . . it's . . . that symbol makes THAT noise. All the time.
Which makes it easier to read.

I understand what you mean.
But I definitely find Hangul to be harder. Because although
their letters are the way you say, and like an alphabet, it's very close
to the English way of writing. You put certain letters together and you
get certain noises. Put the same letters with other letters, you get
different noises. With Japanese, you get the same noises no matter
what other "letters" you put it with.
As for your example, if you put Ha and Tsu and Ki together, that's
how you read it. You read it the same way. Unless you have Ha Zu Ki.
You won't read Hatsuki as Hazuki, because that's not how you spell it.
Unless you're talking Kanji. And I suck at Kanji. xD ✖

It does!
There's another one on saturday, from a whole different club.
I'm collecting chances to fly, it's not a course or anything.
If I'm not mistaken that will be for a full hour :D
But we'll have to reschedule this particular appointment, probably to next week :)
