why are you trying to read less? Is it getting in the way of productivity? it's easy to lose yourself in books so I can imagine if that is the case

@Ghost: it's definitely getting in the way. it's the "I should be writing" situation for me now and I'm procrastinating in any possible way. reading is just perfect because unlike alleged timewasters, it counts as respectable occupation and gives a sense of achievement

Well, at least you can think about your writing while you are reading and maybe get some new ideas? I don't think it's a complete waste of time, but yeah, it's annoying when you know you should be doing something else but you just can't stop
