my dad is like "im so done with this place" XD

definitely i agree. art has always been strong in me.
i used to even doodle on my papers in school.
tho it also made me focus better.

yeah getting started freelance is always hard but there are tons of resources out there to help. and free ones. there is always youtubers giving advice on how to start, so its not super hard to get started. but definitely is harder to put yourself out there and have people find your work to commission you.
the best thing i have found is challenges on instagram. like draw this in your style. many will share your work in their stories and others will find your work throigh whichever tag of the challenge you participate in.

lol yeah true. i wasnt really sad finding out my intolerance to milk as i wasnt super into drinking milk. but take my coffee away and i'll be forever sad.

I don't know where it came from, but I have a kind of nurturing personality.
I like to help people and make sure they're doing okay.
I couldn't see myself being a neglectful landlord like that :\
Especially if someone sold it to me for sad reasons.
I'd assure them I'd continue their hard work and dedication.

I find I think differently that non-artists. I see art in nearly everything - even death.
Yeah, I've always drawn. I work on art nearly every day.
It might not get finished, but I work on it.

Something I struggle with too is having a lot of attention on me.
I don't like a lot of people focusing on me.
That's always held me back too.
I need to be known but it scares me to be known, you know?

I think my sister may be developing lactose intolerance...
She ate some potatoes and it made her sick.
Then she ate pizza last night and it made her sick.
The only similarity is dairy - butter and cheese.

She honestly has no empathy. I mean for one thing, my dad is unable to work, we've had to fight food stamps who keeps saying we ran out of time when we submitted everything, and we even had a death in our family recently, and just...the lack of empathy is shocking. Instead she accuses us of smoking, and having dishes on the roof when those do not belong to us and were here before us....

so at this point, there is literally no point staying when she does the bare minimum to prove she's doing her job...

art is in everything tbh. I just want to share my art journey with others and my work to be appreciated. but who knows maybe it won't happen.
but im just going to keep posting my work regardless if anything comes from it. Even if it takes me a long time to get where i want to be. I could not think of a better job for me than art. and working a real job is impossible for me.

I don't want a lot of attention, and i don't see it as someone paying attention to me. But i just want someone to be inspired by my journey to start their own. and would like to support my family. because my dad is in his 60's and i don't want him working these hard labor jobs. cause he's my only parent i have.

Could be. Bodies change about every 7 years. i come from a family of a lot of lactose family members so it was inevitable for me.

I'm really sorry you have to put up with that :\

Well, a lot of people who were good artists weren't always known and appreciated right away 8u
I love making art and looking at art overall.
I just want to also profit off of it.
Something that irks me is when people sell their art, and people complain.
Like they should make art just to make art and not want money or it's a waste of money for people to be buying their art.
Do people not understand that money makes the world go 'round?
I support someone profiting off their talent xD

My mom is the only person I know irl who has lactose intolerance so I don't really know a lot about it.

im so used to it so its fine.

for me i dont want money to be the main reason i do something. i understand needing income but i dont want that to be the only reason. i love when artists are paid for their hard work just dont want art to be this get paid fast scheme some people try to make it seem.

im around so many lactose people but it can differ for a person. some can take lactose pills, some have to cut it out completely.

I see people say...Okay, I play this game called Dead by Daylight and you can buy cosmetics for characters.
Cosmetics an artist designed and made.
People sometimes say "Those are too expensive!" or "I'm not paying for that!" but to me it's like "Yeah, I'll pay for it because an artist made it and I love how it looks u8"

Example:
[x]
I LOVE this cosmetic. When I first saw it, I was like "Oh.My.God. I NEED that uB<"
Sooo I bought it.
Keep in mind, I can't actually see myself wearing it - I see in first person only.
But I love it and I like wearing it.
The artist who made it did a great job \u8/

wow that looks amazing!
Yeah i definitely do not mind buying stuff like that because the artist put in so much time and effort into their work.

Tho i remember watching a few videos of this one guy, an artist and his only tips were like seeing how much people on patreon got paid and saw it as another path. but to me just sounded he was all about the money.

I more so mean...people who see art as this get money and get paid fast and not care about the art nor the artist for their hardwork.
But i dont like when they only do it for money or only care about money as a while back during this year, I think maybe in the summer people were just purposely making books, and making it into this get paid fast scheme which then made freelance artists[not ones who work at like companies] who did make books[like illustration for children books] severely underpaid and it just caused this huge issue cause then people commissioning these artists to make children's books tried to have the illustrators paid so underpaid. like $50 per page compared to its supposed to be around $500 per page or roughly around there.

so that's when i see money issue and art. the severely underpaid part.
Tho i 100% support artists getting paid for their hard work.
i just see so many people trying to make it into a get money fast scheme. especially now when crypto came out and so many artists got work stolen and sites will do little to nothing about it :/

Someone made a thread asking why people buy cosmetics when they don't actually get to see the cosmetics xD
I don't know why do you buy expensive clothes when you can't see yourself while wearing them >>

I've seen artists get their art stolen quite a few times.
I remember this artist asking people not to randomly post their art - to come to their own page to see it.
People insulted the artist and were like "You should be grateful people are posting your art everywhere!"
If the artist asks you to not just report their art or even to post it without crediting them then you know....maybe you should listen to them?

I saw this art the other day that someone commented on and said they loved the art and they actually bought it in sticker form.
The artist thanked them but said their art was stolen and made into a sticker and they're getting no money from it.

Lol. some people do not just understand.

Yeah, art getting stolen happens so often that it prevented me from opening my social media from private to public for a long time.
I never understand stealing the art. we artists got good within years not instantly. And anyone can learn it. especially now with how many resources are out there.

that really sucks the artists had their work stolen and profited off of without permission. I know so many artists that's happened. and some go as far as to steal their own selfies even.

I'll never forget this person saying "Well, if you don't want your art/OCs stolen then don't post it on the internet!"
It was SO stupid that I've never forgotten it xD
Don't put food out on the shelves if you don't want it stolen.
Don't park your car outside if you don't want it stolen.
Don't go outside if you don't want to be murdered.

There's an artist whose art I love so much.
She posted, saying someone was stealing her work.
I felt so bad for her and there was nothing I could do ><
I mean, the person was already reported so...

There were some artists that profited off of tracing or painting over stuff.
They sold their art and got money while tracing.
They gave 0 credit and refused to admit they traced.
One even had their own anime and manga series.
I got so titled by that.
To my surprise, people were like "It's okay to trace!"
Yeah, it's okay to trace and learn but to trace and make money off of it? No, it's wrong >___>
I worked hard to get to where I am and other people are out here tracing and getting payed!?!?
