yeah I tend to be a night owl so people confuse me for being in a different time zone. I know I'm in the same times zone as Aki and Fire_Wolf_Demoness but other than that I don't know who else is in my zone or close to it.

Oooh okay! Eastern coast right? Aki lives in, or lived in, Delaware if I'm correct? I believe Sela lives on the East Coast too :)

I hope I can be the kind of teacher that actually helps these kinds of people.
unruly teenagers have a reason to be unruly... in my opinion the school should figure out why and provide guidance, if the parents wont...

can't you get a vwo diploma still? go to 'avondschool/ vavo'? I know people who do that, but it could be expensive
also I know someone doing havo by some of these 'schriftelijke cursussen'? (I'm to lazy for proper english...

Yup. I live in Massachusetts. Sela might. She usually comes on while we're on but she could just be a night owl in another time zone.

In my opinion, most unruly students have something going on in their lives that makes them that way, outside pressures at home maybe.

Yup, sadly they thought different about that at my school >>
Awww dear I didn't even finish HAVO, so no, getting VWO won't be that easy x3
Also I don't trust those written courses and well... eveningschool... I don't see that happen, either.

Hmmm nope, not always, there wasn't any pressure at my place really. I just. Didn't agree. I couldn't get along with the other people in my school and thought the way of lessons were wrong. The subjects didn't interest me at all. I couldn't concentrate. Horrible times. >>

yeah when a child doesn't agree or gets bored it creates a problem too. There are usually a lot of factors for kids acting up in school or just not caring about it in general.

Yup... but none of these get solved if the adults don't try to find out the real reason... they just kept telling me the same thing... I had to stop being so negative, I could do way better than I did, just do it xD
Nothing about how to do it or what the reason was that I was so negative about stuff, just... 'act normal' >>
I've never been able to figure out how to act normal. Because no one tells me.

yeah my brother and i have both had similar experiences. He used to get bored easily and would act up and later in school when he got bullied, he began to act up even more. Now he's JORCT so he acts more responsible. I had issues when my family was on the edge of devorce. It was too much stress for me in and out of school and no one bothered to help. My boyfriend stopped comforting me too because he couldn't take the fact that I was a gloomy mess. At least now its over and behind me.

telling a child to act 'normal' means you have no intention of finding out how it feels... as I said, there's usually a reason
