Thanks. Right now it's just a sketch (urgh it's tail....) and I'm just trying to get the proportions right before doing anything with it.

My Knuffel was just rejected with the reason, "one or more of these stages are drawn out of proportion."

Knuffel In Question; All Stages

The lines between stages are there to show the 300 x 377 pixel boundaries.

I'm guessing stages 1 and 2 are the problem, but I want to make certain of it before trying to fix things.
Any feedback and suggestions for fixing the proportions are greatly appreciated.
Thank you! ^_^

Usually out of proportion means that your base is to big (or to small). You can see it when you put on layers your knuffel and original base.

I hope that helps :)

Yes, that does help, Shadowisper. ^_^ Thank you for the feedback.

I've sized the stages down a touch to be more in line with the default base:
Revised Knuffel
With Base Overlay

Does this fix the proportion issue, or should I make some other changes, too?

@Darktrickster:
I only see two changes in every stage. The only things changing in the whole knuffel are the swirl and the clothes. That is not enough. You'll have to add a third thing at least.

@Tiamatsan:
Without overlaying at all, I'll simply guess there is too much space around the top part for the first stage. The base needs to fill out the original knuffel base, the changes in the stages, eg. wings that come later won't help with your knuffel being accepted if the first stage isn't in proportion. But maybe if you overlay it it'll show something entirely different, dunno :qhehe:

@Saokymo:
Seems fine to me, though as said to Tiamatsan, there might be a problem with filling up all of the space the knuffel base gives... Only half of the original knuffel base's head is filled out in the first stage...

Hope I somehow helped a little :mcblush:

That's alright!

Darktrickster wrote:So I have finally decided to ask about my newest knuffel of mine, I sent it in once, and had it rejected for one or more of it's stages being too similar. So I fixed it up (I thought) and sent it in again. It was rejected again and I was sent to this thread, So before I make a fool out of myself and try again after changing him up. Could I have a bit up help in figuring out what is wrong with my knuffel, Greyscale.

Did you read the part about adding random swirls and other unidentified stuff to stages in this thread as well as in the other sticky I made?

I am afraid its head is leaving too much free space above it compared to the how it should be. If you are not sure about it please take this image and overlay it over your Knuffel: images/wildknuffel/image_constr1.png Feed and head should meet around the same point.

I failed with trying to help properly. Sorry... :mcsad: Thankfully Firn clarified everything.

Thank you very much, Firn! I'll make notes so future designs don't have this issue. :)
