Hello! I'm drawing 4 elements Knuffel with a new base for each of them and I wanted to be sure that they can be ok for the proportions... For the air one: do you think that it is too much to links (but if I put it more at right the ear will be too much at right, I think...)? For the earth one: do you think that it is too large?
I really hope that they'll be ok, but before finish them and maybe get a reject... it is better to ask another opinion :qw:

T-thanks guys..

I wonder if he will get accepted with his armor.
Planning to do it like this:
First;
- Starts out with light blue scales/legs + Sash + Tiny horns. Starts out with a bit light red hair.

Second:
- Leg scales darkens, get tinier, grows fins.
- Hair gets longer, instead of it being loose, its now already bonded. The hair also gets darker.
- The horns get medium sized.
- Slight changes; he gains a bit of pointy ears, gains two rings in his horns. Gains a necklace, but is thin. Upper bone for wings develop a little bit.

Third:
- Gets the serpent like under body, only a few fins.
- Hair gets longer, still being bonded. Reaches final point of darkening.
- Horns get fully grown.
- Wings start growing to a small size.
- Golden "Emblem" appears.
- Gains gloves that are dull gold,
- Slight changes: Eyes get darkened, not reached full point of darkening. He will gain a few beads. The Necklace has reached its right thickness. The Ears are almost at their full stage.

Fourth:
- Cloth appears.
- Not fully "developed" dull armor appears. (This means excluding the extra shoulder pads and the "chest plates"). The places for the fully developed dark blue.
- Cloth around the hair is getting loose, revealing his long hair for a bit.
- Gains more fins.
- Eyes reach their darkest point.
- Crystal to "Golden Emblem" but still is dull.
- Added "blades" to the "Golden Emblem"
- Wings get larger
- Slight changes: More beads, ears fully developed

Fifth:
- Cloth fully appears
- Fully developed dark blue and golden rimmed armor.
- Cloth around hair fully have gotten loose, revealing his long hair totally.
- Fully developed armor on fully grown wings.
- Tail fully develops, all fins visable
- Crystal gains color
- Gains a trident
- Slight changes: Gains all his beads, gains "head armor".

Would this be a good summing up for his stages? :mcblush:

Eylis> to be honest, I'm not sure. I think they might be taking bit too little space, but you should try to ask Firn about it in rejected thread, I'm no help when it comes to custom bases >.<

With> I'd take away horns from first stage. There is really no need for them and them showing up already mid sized in 2nd stage will give more impact to change in him. Same goes for some other things, like:
First: scales in legs+sash+light red hair
Second: leg scales changes +fins, longer hair without color change, horns in mid size, thick necklace, no ear change, eyes get darker
Third: serpent body+ longer hair with final, dark color+ horns fully grown with rings, small wings, emblem, no ears change
Fourth:cloth+armor, fins, eyes get final color, larger wings, fully developed ears
Fifth: his final look

I changed stuff about hair and eyes color, horns, ears, wings (and this applies to most of knuffel changes in general, but I'll use those few as examples) etc for one reason. If you go with: small horns>mid horns with rings>big horns, or light color>mid color>dark color etc between stages, you automatically make change between stages smaller. You take away impact from evolution and make change less visable, stages more similiar etc. However, when you go mid horns>big horns with rings you make horns showing up and changing more dynamic and visable. Same with color. If you make color change gradually through few stages, it will be less visable in final outcome, but if you make hair light in one stage and dark final color in second, you make a good, visable change that will be noticed right away. Same goes with ears: ears are a small part of body, making them grow through few stages makes changes in them between stages less visable (unless you're going to make them take half of space, o.o), but if you only add big, pointy ears in stage 3 or 4, change in knuffel will be noticed much easier. Number of changes is one key to make good evolution, but way you show them is second. Of course you can make big elements change even through all knuffel's evolution, but if you want small elements like horns, ear shape, or hair color to be visable and add to evolution, try to make them evolve in more dynamic way, in 2 stages instead of 3-4. Of course you still can make some small elements evolve longer if you want to, but if you make all the elements evolve that way, you makes stages too similiar even though they have lots of small changes. Err.. hope I'm making any sense here >..<

I'm glad to see you're taking time for your knuffels Wilth! I also write down my stages and I'm sure that can help you with the design.

I agree with Amalath, you can take out the horns of the first stage. I'm confused about the rest, so I'll leave that up to both of you hahaha xD

Eylis: I think you mean left instead of links
But they seem well centered to me!
*is very happy* You always make such extraordinary things when you use a base you made yourself! I can hardly wait!

Ups, you are right Vineda, I took the wrong word... anyway, thank you for the advice! Do you think that the earth one is ok too? Isn't she too large? Thank you very much too for your compliments!

Well, at first sight I thought so, but If you put the base in 'squares' you see that there's actually only one corner, the upper right that's less filled, but it's not much of a difference...
So it depends on how much you'll add to the base, but for now, to me, she seems ok!

*ups her stalking of your knuffel thread once more*

Ok, thank you :qcute: Then if anyone other isn't of another idea I think that I'll leave them like this and... I'll cross the fingers when I'll submit them :qt:
