I'm working on the first generation of Pokemon. Then I'll move on to the next ones. I'm going in order so I don't get overwhelmed and rage quit.

Hands and feet are hard. I had to practice with my own; different shapes and positions and whatnot before I felt comfortable putting them into commissions.

I should practice more..

Maybe I'll do that right now! >:U

8U PIXELING. Is a lot easier than a person thinks. Well, depending on what type of pixel art.

Simple work .

I do the simple work because I don't think I need to get too complicated with anything.

For the base of my Pokemon, I used 2 ovals. One for the fat gut of the body and a smaller one for the head. Then I connected them and erased the middles so it was one fat oblong shape. xD

Then I found a light source and picked a direction I wanted it to shine. I made different layers in PhotoShop for this. Shadows, main color, highlights.

and open canvas when I'm drawing with friends.

Gimp uses layers, right?

Gimp does indeed use layers. I call it the poor persons photoshop. 8D
