I really think if that were to happen it would have happened already. Cell Phones are not the Ark of the Covenant.
I just don't have anyone I need to call that often so my old fashion phone works just fine.

I take my phone everywhere, but that's because I'm worried about my car breaking down.
Otherwise I don't use it to talk ever, really, but it's my only way of accessing the internet at my house. So it's sort of necessary for school (checking e-mail, looking things up quick, requesting books, etc.).
