My cat had fleas once but oddly enough when I took both my cat and dog to the vet only my cat had them not my dog. I'm always more paranoid about ticks because my dog tends to attract them every time we go hiking or somewhere new. :/ Frontline doesn't always work for some reason. Thats when I bug bomb the crap out of my house, haha!

Actually I have seen something like that, but it was the other way around.
We had the pekingese and my sister's cat. The dog had the fleas and the cat did not. >< Well the dog went outside more than the cat. Haha.
I would be paranoid as well if my animal went into the woods. There would be a very high chance that they would get ticks there. I agree, I have heard that Frontline does not always work. I have also heard that some pets could be allergic to it as well. We used something like Frontline, but not really sure what it is called. It works for us though. We have 2 cats but one comes in and out, and if not for that we would have to bomb the house. hehe.
