I have to get back to using my bike.
I was getting there with 10 minute sessions but as it's been a while I think I'll start with 5 minute sessions for my restart.

I'm taking up a challenge with Blogilates for the first 20 days of January, I hope it will kick my butt to start exercising regularly again, I've been very sloppy in December...
I also am going to take a workshop on writing on 11-12 January and I just made up my mind to take up a writing program for the whole of January...

Happy new year everyone.
I ended up only doing the quiz with J after all. I had a massive row with my parents... I can't even get into it right now. It was insane. They ganged up on me completely and I just had to get out of there. They escalated and escalated and the outcome was that I went straight home as soon as J arrived to get me. I told them to cancel everything they have booked for the wedding and never contact me again.
Guess I have a whole wedding to plan all over again, since we can't afford on our own what we booked before. Might have to change the date also.
We just had our own thing, the two of us at home. Got a takeaway and watched some stuff. Then slept right in this morning until almost lunchtime.

Are you sure it's not fixable? Must have been massive if you really told them to never contact you again, I am sorry :(

It would in theory be fixable, if they were able to admit their fault in full, apologise, and be mature enough adults to not make it happen again immediately. And that would go against who they are as people so I doubt it is possible. Even if one of them could manage it, there is still the other one.
Also there is only two weeks before the window for not being able to cancel the original venue expires. So they would have to also have this personality change before that moment.
Once the cancellation goes through I don't think there will ever be any way to go back.

Man, I'm so sorry... It's really hard cutting people off like that, especially they are your parents. I've been there with my sister. I just hope you stay strong and true to yourself and that J supports you through it.

The good thing is that J supports me completely. In fact I already knew he would because many months ago, when the first problems started to appear, we discussed it and we both agreed we would rather get married on a small budget just us and a couple of witnesses, and have a party some years in the future when we can afford it, than put up with any more bullshit. We might elope now, or have a very small ceremony in the next town over registry office and then go on honeymoon. I actually already found my dress for sale at a much lower price, ha. I might buy the same one again.
What is really pissing me off at this moment is that I left a brand new pair of boots behind. I bought them only last month in the sale, and I wore them in and then started wearing them about and they were wonderful. SO comfy. Now they are sold out so I can't replace them.
