The person was Peter's mum.....it was a kind of inconsiderate time but also still kind of expects us to be up or at least me...
ah well.
uhhh if you don't use the laptop too much and get a new one it may mean the harddrive and stuff on it can go to the new one.. or at least transfer.

It literally did :'D I'm a little bit in shock from it still I think, I keep getting a bit jumpy if I see/smell smoke or hear a bang.
But, good news! We went out today and I picked up some good deals. Of course it would have to be right after the big January sales, but never mind. I got a laptop basically the same stats as my old one rather than getting an upgrade, and then had enough money left over to get a wee mini one as well to use as a Word Processor when travelling. I'm pretty happy with that :D Now I'm transferring files from my old laptop to an external harddrive, and afterwards I'll move them onto the new laptop. It says it will take over a day XD at least I am using the mini one in the meantime.
It's so cute and small, it looks like my old laptop had a baby :'D

Baby laptops are adorable indeed. And having one to take with you on the go is awesome. I'm still debating to get one for on the road writing.
But first I need to deal with my current burnout before thinking of something like that. :}

Actually I just realized that I have two lenovo laptops and the small one might be considered a baby of the old one as well xD

@River: Yeah, that's what I thought. Even if people know, they're still expecting you to live their way somehow...
@Dream: Aw, burnouts suck
I work on my Google drive which I also installed on my phone, so I just write on my phone if I get the chance.
I'm feeling a bit better about the ratties today, the vet said it might take us a while to make them get used to us, so yay, I'm not a bad rat mom
It seemed to me like with Tila, Cotton and Candy it was somehow faster, but maybe that's just my brain outright lying to me

I am stiiiiiill waiting for everything to transfer. I've managed to do one hour of work in the last two days :'D I'm just working from the baby one for a bit since it took about 20 minutes to set up and that was all. It's a bit strange getting used to a new keyboard and everything haha.
Meanwhile just catching up on TV.
@Mem: Yay, see! It will all be good. Soon enough you'll be complaining about naughty rats who are too comfortable and start eating everything in sight :D

I have Google drive as well. But I'm still not comfortable typing on either my phone or my tablet. I need a keyboard. :}
