Bleach is - at least here - a solution of sodium hypochlorite.
Sodium hypochlorite can be used to make water drinkable, to disinfect swimming pools, etc.

It's just a more or less dense solution.

Hm, interesting. Here it's definitely not something you're supposed to ingest.

Hahaha, well, I'm not supposed to ingest it either.
It's dissolved into water and used for cleaning the food. I always rinse the veggies afterwards cause I hate the odor.

Anyway, have you heard of the "chlore" in swimming pools. Have you ever drank that water by accident?

Chlorine? They put chlorine in pretty much all water here.
Ours doesn't have any since it's from our well 8D

Everybody used to have a well in my village when I was a little kid. There was not any other source of water at home - but you could go to a drinking fountain which was right by the church and fill some big bottles too.

But when I say things like this it makes me feel so old xD
