what kind of courses are you taking? c: or are they hard to translate?

I'm taking classes to work as a hotelreceptionist (below my master's degree, but lots of languages (and joboffers) so yay!)

Out of 75 people interested 32 got to take the selection test and now I'm in the final 13 to be accepted into the education program this year...
Apparently it's mostly due to me having that master's degree and being jobless for over a year, but still, yay me.

It's doing wonders for me to finally find some confidence again (I finally believe I'm able to do something, even if it's just basic stuff) after being rejected every single time...

Meanwhile over here mom's making me apply for jobs that I know I'm not qualified for (oh you need 30+ years experience in metalworking) and then wondering both why I'm resisting and why I'm not getting any callbacks
1. Unqualified resumes tossed right off the bat
2. Competing with a shitton of others
3. By the time mine gets put in, there's already been hundreds of applications and
4. they've chosen already, just haven't gotten the posting down yet

I know the feeling Kit... that's one thing I'm not looking forward to return to again anytime soon... (not that I have a choice, but at least for now I get two weeks of 8 hours class a day and 2 hours travel as a 'rest period' from all that)

I don't like it at all
Especially not when I'm being forced into it

I'm glad I don't have to worry about that yet.
I don't have to look for a job for a few more months.
