I've never dyed my hair before, but if I were to I'd dye it black then give it streaks or either purple, blue or green. XD

ml - glad that the twist braid worked out for you! I certainly love it. One of my favourite braids.
Hino - I think the trick is to twist both in the same direction and twist them against each other in the opposite direction. It would work on anyone's hair... and in fact all thread and rope is made in this way, so the physics can't possibly fail.
I've never dyed my hair either :) I'm not really in interested in dying it, but the main thing is that it's pretty dark so I would have to bleach it first and that would be a massive hassle.

I'm dyed ginger 'cause my natural color is... sth that we call here mouse blond. It's such a greyish shade of medium blond. Nothing really nice. But I am redhead inside and I think this color suits me best.
And yeah, Jess would have to bleach her hair. Especially since You probably have Asian type of hair. They are really hard to dye.

Nah, my hair isn't actually Asian. My English father had dark hair. It's not nearly as heavy or dark as Japanese hair. Still bothersome if I wanted to dye it though.
We call that colour mousy too. I actu7ally really like that shade, but everyone with mousy blonde hair seems to hate it. I have a friend who has different coloured hair everytime I see her and she's originally that colour too.

Oh, I thought You had Your mom's hair. But not knowing what color Your dad has... Yeah, my bad 
This color is very good for dyeing. I'd probably color them rainbow too, but it's hard to get good, long lasting dyes in unnatural colors. But I just fell for ginger. Though I was thinking about blue or violet.
