I have a glass tank for mine, so it's quite easy to maintain everything in order.

I like their names a lot.

I've had rats and hamsters in the past. I've also had a hedgehog but they're not technically rodents. They're similar to rodents.

Some animals are better on their own, but others are more social and need company.
Gerbils fall in this second category, it is better that they have a mate - but no more so they don't "team up" against another one.

I think it might be because what i ate in the morning reacted badly to the chinese herbal drink my mom brewed….8U its the only explanation i can think of…>.>. Its a herbal/medical drink that’s suppose to lower the heatiness in your body. Its not bitter and a bit sweet because my mom put in enough of the sweeter ingredients but maybe all those chinese herbs clashed with something else in my body…8U

Rats need friends. Hamsters are solitary or they will fight. So are hedgehogs.


I don't know anything about Chinese herbal medicine. If it's just herbs and stuff go for it. Did she make it herself or buy it somewhere? Because if she bought it it might have weird stuff in it.

Generally speaking herbal meds aren't supposed to be very sweet XD so if it is then it's likely the sugar that's having a bad reaction to the body.
I don't know much about it, but the herbs and ingredients to lower the "heat" are generally bitter. Sweetness does the opposite of that. :O

I do like herbal remedies but I must admit they are tricky.
Because they DO work, which means they have an effect in your body, so the effect can be for good or for bad if you don't choose the best herbs :|
I don't really know much about them (as far as I know, the Chinese tradition is way more important than the Western one) so I usually stick to mild herbs. Just in case.
