Ah, I figured the hair thing had something to do with their honor, I just didn't know what. x'D
And that's really cool, they didn't say women couldn't do this or that when it came to fighting like the Europeans and descendents of the Europeans.

There were women samurai... Are you sure about that?
I'm Japanese, from a samurai family and I've never seen or heard of them referred to as samurai.
There are women in samurai families, but they didn't go to war. They trained with weapons like the Naginata, but only to protect the house if attacked, and to kill themselves and the family should that fail...

I love that era in time with the samurai.
I did some research on it for some stories.
But there's still a lot I need to learn.
Especially if I want things to be 100% accurate.
I love anime and manga that fit that time period too.

I love Japanese history too. Anime and manga can be good on it (sometimes a little inaccurate), but there are some great films too... It's heavy-going, but Kurosawa's 'Ran'

My favorite time period is the Victorian era.

Hello again!
I know little about Japanese history.
Moi ~ Victorian period is one off my interests.
That and the 1920’s when the youngsters were shedding the Victorian image and broke loose.
I love the jazz and flapper dancers *fashion was amazing*
Not to mention the cross dressing, it was really quite a big deal.
Started my main Hammerlock picture.
I never draw this big ;_;
I know little about Japanese history.
