I was really nervous to talk to her at first but after awhile, I found out we had a lot in common and it was easy to talk to her xD

I really like meeting artists who are sociable and down to earth --talent's always a good thing, but a good personality is a definite plus. Most of the other artists I've talked to are also friendly, but every so often, I meet someone who's a mite arrogant about it.

Nice. I used to stalk/email one of my favorite manga-ka (except it wasn't really, since I only contacted her once a year around her birthday), but she never responded to me. *facepalm*

However, my favorite writer did email me back once, and an artist I liked (who was on PixiV) and I had a small conversation when I asked to use her art as an icon. :) She declined (because she didn't want to misrepresent the fandom publicly, but drew fan art for fun); however, she sent me a personalized doodle to show her appreciation for the emails. X3

I have also made a couple of artist friends through their art (including my previous admin from another website, who drew me in her web-comic), Firn, Ocean, and many others (outside of KofK). :) I really love talking to people of talent. *facepalm*

Moi, like I suggested to someone else, it helps to start off just drawing poses. Don't worry about hair or faces or anything like that. this site -> http://www.posemaniacs.com/ can help give ideas and shows how the muscles should be in posing.

@Moi: Aha, yes, practice is very important indeed.

One of my artist friends said that she practiced drawing in her style by starting with real life models from advertisements and magazines. By practicing with real people, she refined her sense of anatomy, and eventually developed her own art style.
