Ah, maybe if you have layers in your hair the braid won't work so well. Possibly need to use hair spray (I don't have much experience with that stuff)

Yeah, that's the problem. And on short hair when I tie them into ponytail the layering starts just behind the elastic (google told me it's named like that). It gives nice shape to the pony tail, but is pain in the arse for braids.

What? How? You can't burn Yourself with a dye. And what it was doing on their faces anyway?
You can only burn Yourself with bleaching mix if You keep it for longer than 50 minutes. You can get Your skin burnt (even to the point that no more hair will grow in this place) or melt away Your hair. But that's when You'll keep it really long. Like I said, below 50 minutes it's completely safe and it's enough time to bleach hair to white.

Unless you're Logi, in which case any amount of bleach will only turn your hair platinum blonde. That was a hilarious experience.
He loves Sephiroth and always wanted white hair, but his hair is the most red thing there can be. You just can't get the iron colour out of it. It was a shiny bright gold for a while...

There are some white dyes I think. So after bleaching he should try dyeing it white with a dye and it should work fine.
And yeah, red is the worst to get out of Your hair. That's why I'll never change my color. Unless into brown or violet 'cause I wouldn't have to take off the red for this colors.

Strawberry blonde is really pretty. It wouldn't go well with my color, but it is pretty.
And during bleaching they would just loose they color like during removing color. Only they can be a bit more dry than the rest of the hair.

And hair dressers say You shouldn't use this, 'cause You don't come to them to dye Your hair. There are some really good brands and of course there are some that really aren't good. But it mostly goes around oxidant. The bigger difference between Your color and the color You want (when You go to the brighter hair) the stronger oxidant You need. So when You buy this kit it's made to be best for most of ppl. So they give stronger oxidants. And if You have bright hair, You just damage them more than it's needed (hydrogen peroxide isn't very good for hair as it makes scales open and hair gets dry). And this is only that. If You use kit from a good brand, preferably with a conditioner added (those are really good and help You keep color longer as they close the scales) than there is nothing bad that can happen to Your hair.
