@Kuuki: Oh wow. Cool. Are you staying there permanently?
Also sorry for being weird but are you trying out all the different flavored Kit Kats there? Haha. I really want to try out all the Kit Kat and Pocky flavors. Yum * u *
@Po: Ahhhh. I really like red meat. Well beef in general. So I like korean beef BBQ. Especially those which are fatty. Damn. I wasn't planning on really eating dinner but now I'm suddenly really hungry. I'll prolly settle for pizza leftovers tho. I don't feel like cooking nor do I feel like going out again to eat.
@Zia: ZIAAAAAA! HNNNNG. That's what I love about Korean food and authentic Korean restaurants. Lots of side dishes <3 They're pretty healthy too. ; A ;
And woah. You still haven't changed your post style all these years. This feels so nostalgic

Well, for now I have a one year visa, but I am going to apply for an extension and see where it goes from there.
Aha I'm not, because you don't really find a lot of different flavors at the stores I usually go to. Sadly. Because I too, am really curious.

I should invest in some baking equipment. I would really like a thermometer so I can try tempering chocolate and ramekins for creme brulee.
It definitely just tasted like sweet sour chicken with a slightly different sauce :c
I really like the complementary dishes. I find them tastier than the stuff I order haha.
Thank you. Spring is a pain. My eyes feel so dry and heavy.
@Lian
I could really go for some pizza now.
I love Japanese pocky flavours.

Yeah. And if I go there with my boyfriend, the complementary side dishes are the only thing he can eat.
That, and the bibimbap without the meat with extra sauce. He really likes the stone-bowl one.
Well, I changed it ONCE this whole time I've been on this site. The secondary colour used to be this orange but it looked blinding with the new post background colour. I thought maybe it was just on my screen but someone put "bright orange font must die" in their signature and it was like, oh, it is pretty bright so I changed it to this muted orange. I think it's less offensive on the eyes also. I don't know if that person was thinking of me personally or all the other people with bright orange font on the site (I did find one other user using bright orange font around that time) but yeah. No more bright orange.
If it were me, I'd try every green tea flavoured snacks available. When my coworker went to Japan to visit his in-laws, he got me this pack of green tea flavoured oreos. They're soft and cakey. I'm not a fan of oreos but these were pretty good.
Man, you're so hard core in your baking wishes. I'm lucky if I make one batch of cinnamon rolls a year.
Man, you need to find a nice Korean person to go with and get them to order for you. And then repay them by taking them to a restaurant that you like and ordering for them.
I feel you. Fall isn't being kind to me either, but it's not as bad as spring was.
I had pizza today! It was good but now there's a grease stain on my nice new bag.

The matcha flavored oreos come directly from heaven I swear. They're delicious and the matcha is not too strong and they're just perfect for a quick snack.
I'm not a huge fan of matcha usually but these were awesome.

I find baking really time consuming mostly in the washing department so I don't bake as often as I like. I only bake because I really enjoy eating sweets haha!
It just makes me tubby though 8u
What bag did you buy?
@Kuuki
I love matcha green tea flavoured almost everything especially cakes, biscuits, ice cream and drinks. Depending on the powder quality, sometimes it'll taste like seaweed or too sweet when stores add a tonne of sugar. I buy my own matcha powder to make my own lattes. *A* So delicious.

The quality of matcha lattes is really different depending on where you go to. Some are barely tolerable.
What I like more than anything else matcha flavored is the actual tea you can drink at actual teahouses with traditionnal Japanese sweets.
This is heaven on earth and so peaceful, you wouldn't believe it.

What are traditional Japanese sweets anyway? So more ceremonial quality?
I know for matcha there are 3 grades: culinary, regular and ceremonial.
cheap --> friggin expensive ;-;
I really want to visit a natural hot spring or a Japanese bath house.
I would probably get dizzy really quickly though

These are traditionnal Japanese sweets
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wagashi
Some of them you can find in supermarkets for cheap but the higher class ones are indeed pretty expensive. Nearly everything in Japan pretty much exists in three categories, cheap, normal and really expensive ^^
That being said, the tea + sweets set in teahouses on the other hand can be rather cheap though.
Aha natural hot springs are the best! I recommend going to one that's outside so you have a nice balance between hot and cold and can stay longer without getting dizzy too fast.

Wow, the name is cute and they look really cute as well *A*
They almost don't look like real food. It really reminds me of decoden sweets haha. Red bean is a very popular flavour with my relatives. I don't enjoy it though. I don't like the texture of bean paste. It's grainy and leaves a strange sensation on the tongue.
What type of things are normally really expensive? Probably high quality sushi right? I know kimonos are pricey too.
