Yeah, unfortunately a lot of people do fake it and it jades others to believing those with real issues. Plus mental health is sooo not understood still and there are no... across the board aids to help people with issues, every case is different, which makes breakthroughs in that field, very hard.

I'd like to get my DNA mapped out.
Then they can tell what medicines would work better and I wouldn't have to go through as much trial and error.
Plus it can let you know what diseases you have and things you're likely to pass on to children. Not that I'm having children, it would just be interesting to see.
But I ain't got 2k to spare at the moment. lol.

AHAHAHA ... Well you're not wrong
And I wouldn't call what I have anxiety, like I do get nervous over things, but I wouldn't stretch it to anxiety.
I think a lot of people say they have anxiety, when they don't ... they just are nervous! (BTW I am not saying anyone in here is doing it! It's just what I think is happening with some people)

I wonder if getting a child's DNA mapped won't soon be offered as part of the birth experience at hospitals. One of those things where they do it as default and you have to tell them not to if you don't want to.

Let's hope that doesn't happen... Gattaca is not exactly what I'd like our world to be...
But yes, great movie! We watched it at school in our religion course when we were talking about pid. One of the best movies I've been made to watch in school :D

Well, it is kind of the bad example of how the world could turn out if one doesn't put ethic bounds in some places, so it makes sense to me?
But those last two years the class was really great and very different from other religion classes I'd had so far. We also talked a lot about different criticisms of religion and things like that. I wouldn't say the course made me more religious, but it definitely challenged us to educate ourselves and think deeply about our view on it, so I would say it was exactly what a religion course in school should be. The teacher was also really great, she was very open to all sorts of opinions and discussions. If I'd had any sort of big ethical decision to make at the time, she would have been the person I would have turned to to talk it over. I think that says a lot about her quality as a teacher.
