Honestly, I'd vote for finding out, and then just not telling them that you know. That way you can start preparing for the baby. Though, by knowing, it means you can also have a baby shower with items picked out that you can actually use. For instance, my cousin is having a boy, and they're decorating his nursery with a western theme, so they were able to ask for those items for the baby shower gifts.
Just a thought.... But especially if you want it to be a girl!! This way, if she is, then you have time to celebrate and be really excited!! If a boy, then have time to GET excited, so there's no "aww.." moment when the baby's born and the doctor declares, "It's a boy!!"
