Yes, we bought the Angel set for 10k.
And I think that when FCs were released, still we could buy MT sets with food as well. You could choose.
I think that was great, being able to choose. You were either very active or you donated money.
If we had kept that option FCs would never raise in price - cause nobody would pay for them more than 10k.
But unfortunately that was not the case.

Already 170k for an FC?!?
I also remember the 10k point, it was quite steady here for a long time. I think easier access of FP made it go up? And fewer people who actually buy FC's. And the many, many FC sets which are released. :)
Market. Pretty much like real world. Grains doubled in price in a year... >.>

Yes, it's kinda crazy.
Here at KofK the case is easier to observe.
Obviously there are new many ways to earn FPs, which causes some members to be really rich.
Having these options does not make much of a difference for newbies, but for us veterans members it means we have a larger income.
I consider myself among the wealthy ones.
I spent literally ALL my savings on that last auction three days ago, and I have already earned back 11k.
So of course I'll be able to pay more for an item I want, and I'll be able to pay a lot for an FC if I can't afford to donate - or don't want to do it.
Which obviously raises the prices of FCs and any other rare stuff.
Real world is a bit more complicated, but I guess that kind of thing has an influence too.
Some people willing to pay more... Prices raise.

It was so much harder to earn FPs back then.
I'd like post and spam feed my knuffel that gave me 1 FP per click xD
I think it was a good idea to just have them be FCs for the simple fact that the site needed money.
If people didn't need to buy FCs then they probably wouldn't.
Firn and I were on a site called Zantarni and it got to be where site currency was meaningless because no one wanted it.
People only did trades, which was annoying.
I remember Firn saying she didn't want that to happen on here.

I remember waiting on knuffel to be ready, so I could click them again!
And, yes, it was harder. Because:
a) we were newbies
b) there were no other ways to earn FPs
I don't think it's easy for newbies now either anyway. Because they mostly earn FPs by posting.
Members like you and me, of course, we have it easy.
But apparently that's the path we are in.
People don't want FPs as much as we used. I am hearing for offers in my old sets, but I don't want pure for them...
It's not useless but we are getting close, I'm afraid :|

Me too. What is this waiting you eat when I tell you to \u8</
Yeah, we do. I try to hold on to my FPs best I can.
I need to hoard more, though xD
Unless I need FCs I usually sell stuff for FPs 8u
I'm considering selling a FC for 100k.

I try to sell for FCs, because I'm not donating as much as I did in the old times.
And with all the stuff I wanted to buy right away (so I could catch up with the TT sets which were about to leave) I really needed a lot.
If they don't sell for FCs, then I put them in the market for FPs.
Having some FPs just in case is a good plan imho.
Because you never know when something you want may be avaliable!
So now I gotta start saving up again.

I try to buy everything I can ._.
I guess I'm a collector.
I also buy multiples of house items because I have so many knuffel xD

I'm a collector too.
I'm a pragmatical person in most aspects of my life, but then I hoard collectibles of any kind - physical or virtual ones.
So I collect avatar items as well.
Room items never caught my eye, though.

I hoard stuff ._.
I actually have like some good items on my characters in my game but I never use them because they are good and rare xD
My sister said "That's why you always lose >8u"
I'm way better at dressing my avatar than making rooms, but I do like working on rooms.
So I buy multiples of all room items.
It adds up quickly ._.
