I sometimes get some kind of a brain fog like that. I talk with someone and am in the middle of talking and my brain suddenly goes "oop, I don't know what I wanted to say AND on what topic, I'll go shut down now, bye!" and yeah, it lasts a few seconds until I'm able to walk myself through what I was talking about with that person. I just go blank, like all my thoughts fly out of my head. I thought it might be something stress-related.
Other times I'll be just going about my day and suddenly I just stare at the space in front of me and there's no thoughts in my head but I'm aware of my surroundings. It's weird, like I'm petrified or something.

I do that all the time xD
"Hey, Mom-- ...."
"What?"
"I forgot..."

I had people say "What're you looking at?"
I did it once not long ago.
My mom said "Do you see something I don't 8U"

We were watching something once and I was so lost in thought that I was just stabbing my food with a knife.
My mom asked what I was doing and I said "I....I'm entertaining myself >8u"

Haha, for me it's more like:
Me: ... and because of that... uuuh, wait, I had a point to make... oh god, what was it? What were we talking about?
Mom: Well, you talked about this and that.
Me: Yeah, okay... and what was I saying? Why was I saying it?
Mom: ...

Or like two days ago, I was trying to calculate something:
Me: So 4 hours times 5 days equals 20 hours and then that times 4 weeks a month, it's 80... 80 of what? *looks up at BF*
Bf: Idk. What were you calculating?
Me: Idk XD
Bf: ... then how am I supposed to know? xD

Jeez, entertaining yourself by stabbing food, that's concerning XD
Heh, I kind of hate the "lost in thought" in this case because I literally have no thoughts in my brain when that happens and I feel like an idiot. Technically I don't get lost in my thoughts, they just suddenly elude me :mclol: Play hide and seek or something with me, idk. And then they come back. Like a power outage, kind of. I'd say it's more of a light-headed thing than lost in thought. But maybe that's just my interpretation of the phrase, I'm not an English native, idk :mcheh:
I bet it's either stress or focus issues. I tried taking those vitamins or whatever that I talked about previously. Took them for two days and then I forgot all about them XD Oh no, wait, I think I took them earlier today. But yeah, yesterday and the day before that I forgot to take them.

Also I caught a cold, but it's a very strange cold and I'm wondering...

Yeah, those kids are happily staying home. Well, whatever, I get paid for showing up XD

I don't think I daydream a lot when I'm out. When I'm sat in a bus, yes. I've missed my stop a few times. But rarely walking around.

I don't have trouble remembering what I'm talking about unless I'm interrupted, but I will black out when people talk to me...

Ach, mem, you probably just have a cold. It got quite cold very suddenly last week and we had the window open all night. I'm pretty sure I had a small cold for like two days.

memoriam: I do that so often. I'll have something important to say, someone or something will interrupt me and I'll just forget everything I was talking about xD
Then I'll remember days later.

I was like poking it with the knife and twisting it.
I dunno why. I wasn't angry. I was just lost in thought xD
People don't take me seriously when I say I go blank.
Mostly roll their eyes or act like I'm being silly.
But it's scary for me to just stop hearing and seeing and feeling.
As I said, what if I'm driving or doing something serious and I do that xD

The season's changing. It might be a cold or just allergies :3
I know I was coughing last night and my nose was runny.
I think my throat was just dry and I had teared up at something sad earlier.

My memory problems disturb me. Like I feel like I'm just...slowly going out.
I remember when I was a mod on here and this user said I told them they could have someone help them make a knuffel, which is against the rules.
But I KNOW you need to make a knuffel yourself, so I wouldn't tell them that.
But I couldn't remember if I did or not.
I remember the person saying they have issues drawing, but that's all I remember.
So when Firn confronted me about it, I couldn't remember. And it scared me.
And what makes it worse is people don't believe me.
I remember forgetting to do something and my aunt yelled at me.
I said "I forgot to do it." and she said "Oh, yeah, like you have SO much to remember!"
Like I'm lying or just forget shit on purpose just to piss people off.

Moi: Stress, anxiety and depression can all cause memory issues. I'm not surprised you have trouble remembering things in those surroundings. Try not to beat yourself up over it.

That's what the doctors have told me too.
Especially my lack of sleep making my depression worse.
I'm worried I will never be normal again.
Like I shouldn't have a memory this bad at my age.

What is even normal? Norman Normal is not a thing. No one is this "normal" person in every aspect. Don't put yourself against an impossible standard.
This has nothing to do with your age. I'm sure if you managed to get away from your family for long enough, you'd notice it getting better.

Normal to me is being able to hear something and remember it 30 seconds later xD
I was really hoping my breathing machine would help me.
Maybe I haven't used it long enough...

For me the most disturbing part is nobody has to interrupt me for me to lose my thought, I just randomly lose it while I'm speaking it... :mcargh: Seriously, it's brain power outage, it's dead for a short while until I focus enough to recall what I was saying.

I don't get how people can just brush it off like that. It can be dangerous, as you said. :mcsweat:

I hate when that happens. You just forget and there's really not much you can do about it. People do that. Just like people make mistakes. Those things happen. One does not simply forget something on purpose... :mcsweat: I freaking hate when people are inconsiderate and unforgiving like that.
As Lulu said, I'm betting my everything you're having these issues because of the ongoing years of anxiety, constant stress, mobbing, also depression and your insomnia... And it's really a matter of getting out.

Oh, I daydream a lot when I'm walking. I only pay attention to where I'm going if it's a new place because otherwise I'll have an even higher chance of getting lost (which I have a talent for). I actually have a habit of walking around the apartment whenever I'm thinking of a scene I want to write :mclaugh:

Maybe it was a cold, but usually a simple cough doesn't involve a 4-days constant headache and random palpitations... That's why I'm wondering. Otherwise I'm pretty much fine, a little more runny nose than my usual (I always have that no matter what in the mornings and evenings, when I get sick I know because it gets red from all the blowing throughout the whole day). And I could sleep all day, except I couldn't because work. Other than that it didn't seem dangerous at all. But the hospitalized cases of covid-19 are definitely a minority. People can have no symptoms and thus not know they got it. I kept myself warm and drank a lot, taking some vitamins and home medicine and I'm better now. Just, you know, concerned, because you never know. But also the tests are super expensive and I'm like nope, not paying that, thanks XD
