I've added images to my last post to illustrate the difference.
That's a good idea, and I very well may do that soon. I'm toying with the idea of changing my eyes to pink (Gasp! But Lae, they've always been yellow!) but I'll wait to change them until I know for sure I won't lose these, otherwise no deal. :/

Yeah... so my hunch was right. Eye colors were updated in Rikashitsu, so now I can either keep these eyes forever, or switch and lose them and have to use the new Eyes 10.
Man, that really bums me out... I understand that it made a lot more color combinations available to people... but there should really be a way to revert back to your old eyes if you ever had them to begin with... that's not fair imo. The graphics are totally different from one another, and there must be more than just myself who use these eyes and prefer/preferred the old set.
I wonder how many people missed the Announcement and changed their eyes only to try and change them back later and find out that they're totally different. :/ And I'm really glad I messed with the Dream Avatar Creator and noticed it in the first place... otherwise I could have lost my favorite eyes and never gotten them back. Sad...

I'm sorry there is nothing that can be done.
I do like the older vision also, there is a little more detail to them.
It must have been easier for Firn to change them,
she does try really hard to please everyone so maybe it was something that was wanted at the time?
Yeah it is a good thing you checked first.
I never seem to miss any announcements,
even while I was away I noticed that the notification thing at the side told me about all of them I missed.
I just skimmed over them to be fair as it was A LOT to read so maybe that's why I didn't fully know about it.
There are always the eyes you can equip if you feel like changing,
it's just getting them I guess.

Yeah, it's possible it was a wanted change at the time, or simply a change in creative direction for Firn. I may have just done an exercise in futility PMing her about it, but I'll get over it if this is the way it has to be. Just thought it couldn't hurt to ask if there was something that could be done by the artist herself.
As for the announcements, I'll claim total responsibility that I clicked every one of them and didn't read because I'm a horrible "too long; didn't read" person sometimes. It's a bad habit I should change, especially coming back to this site where reading is... well, everything. XD

And a lot happens while I'm gone again!!
Firn does try to update the stores (including Rikashitsu) with newer colors and such, so not a surprise that, rather than having two different styles that don't match for the same eyes, she chose to simply have them all the new style.
Also, if you check out the "Feedback" section, she's taking votes nearly daily for items to be redrawn, and if people like the change or not...

I know that she gets really embarrassed about her old art, which, as a fellow... well, I don't think I can call myself an artist anymore, but I understand how she feels. She also wants all the art to have been done in the similar styles so she may have updated the old art as she feels the shading wasn't done in the way she has been doing art for a while.

That makes sense, Zia. Hindsight, I kinda feel like a big baby with how I was earlier about it. I wish I hadn't PMed her... not that I was rude or anything (I hope I wasn't D:), but now I feel like a jerk sort of. I wasn't thinking with 100% of my brain and now I think maybe bothering her about her art wasn't the nicest thing to do. /sigh
I'm gonna get some sleep. Thanks for all the insight guys! Hopefully I return with better judgment tomorrow. 
And hopefully I don't accidentally end up insulting Firn. That's definitely the last thing I meant to do. :/

If she hasn't read the PM yet, you could take a look at the PM and edit it to make it more polite if you're worried.
