So, here are big previews of Lan, if any are interested. I actually googled the name Lan after I submitted him and found out Lan is a mostly feminine name... and he's been named Lan for around 8 years.

Always interested in the big pics, so thank you!
I think that name sounds masculine, but I don't know it's origin, so... :P

I think I've seen it equally as male and female. 83

Lan can be either used as a girls name meaning Orchid in Chinese or as a boys name, meaning 1. Powerful Ruler(French) 2. From the Field(French) 3. Long hill, ridge(Old English).
Lan(M):

http://www.babynamespedia.com/meaning/Lan/fIts a unisex name when you look at it in a way. But, the origins differ and you generally hear it as a boys name. To be honest, I always thought Lan sounded boyish.
Blame the Chinese for making it a girls name as well.
I generally use that site to find nice names and such. Or to find out what they mean. And in the other cases, to find names that would fit a character well. I mostly use Old, Celtic, Latin and Japanese names.

I first saw the name in a webcomic and it was used for a female character. That might have influenced the way I felt about the name.
I'm also Chinese(-American), and when I created my username, I did pick a Chinese word ( except it's not usually used for names.. XD; but I do know of Orchid being used for girl's names. Actually, the two words sound the same in tone. I didn't realize that until now. XD ). Lan became a nickname of my username, though I never intended for it to be used as a name. And since I'm female, I personally see Lan as being more feminine.
Still, I've eventually seen Lan being used as a male name, so that's why I feel it's equally unisex, when not referring to myself. XD
That's a nice site by the way. 8D
I like using baby name sites for my knuffel, though I just google them, I don't really stick to any particular name site, so I should bookmark this one. XD;
