Short boots.
Actually, the reason why I didn't get any until is both because I never go anywhere fancy and also because I'm awfully clumsy and I can already see myself falling while wearing them. Which could be really a problem ^^

Boots are great *A* I like them with a small, thick heel, that way I can keep my feet dry in puddles. I find that flat boots sometimes get leaky 8u
What colour are they?

I only started buying heels for formals/proms in high school.

I fell once whilst wearing wedges whilst crossing the road. Everyone just looked at me like 8u
I felt that was quite rude of them to just gawk whilst someone grazed their palms and knees in traffic.

Flat boots do indeed get leaky. But in Japan even rain boots are fashionable so no problem ! (and I'm serious, fashionable people really do wear rain boots to walk in the streets)

I got black, it's the easiest to wear and I don't have to think that hard about whether it goes with my clothes or not because it does.

I started buying heels at 26 XD But to my defense there's no formals or proms in French high schools so ...

Exactly ! It has happened to me so many times that I stopped counting and since it's dangerous I'd rather avoid it. (though in Japan someone would probably help me but I'd rather be safe than sorry)

I went shoe window-shopping on Saturday~
I was trying to find sneakers at the department store, but I didn't like any of the ones they had. v_v
Then I wandered into the regular shoe section and there were so many cool colorful styles! *o* I felt like I awakened my inner shoe fanatic. XD

I've been trying to get myself more sneakers as well. A lot of them hurt my feet though :c I'm always walking around in Vans anyway.

I like the colour *A* If only they made a nice faux leather in that colour.

I haven't seen anything with studs in a long time. The trend here right now is lace up EVERYTHING. Plus we're heading into Summer so boots are out.

Fashionable yet comfortable sneakers are hard to find. v_v

It depends. I paid my sneakers the same price I paid for my fashionnable shoes.
But I'd tend to agree with Saloiq, the real comfortable sneakers are real expensive. (But it feels so good to walk in them that it's worth it ^^)

I don't know if I've ever found myself a comfortable sneaker.
I have trainers which were bought for ~$200 but they hurt my feet.
I'll need an insole for them to be comfortable.
It's because I slant inwards, I'm flat footed and I have bunions.
The only true comfortable shoes are the fairly roomy ones with little to no support. Usually the supports are all wrong for my feet and the arch is sitting on my heel. Have you guys found nikes any comfortable? Also, I love the look of white adidas however, they'll get dirty so quickly.
