What does PDA stand for? Physical display of affection?
I like the satisfaction of closing all the open tabs about my subjects at the end of a semester ;) But I'm also pretty bad with tabs - I have about 250 open in my one browser and then a few more in the second and third one each (but not as many).

Close. It's public displays of affection.
Omg. You're one of the wicked people a million tabs open D: I'm like the crazy person who closes tabs as soon as she's done with them and re-opens them if another subject of research is required. I keep about 5 tabs open at a time. I rarely have more than say 8? I get really confused. How do you find anything plus doesn't your browser lag like crazy? I have a hdd not an ssd so running software with chrome can be slow especially if I'm remotely entering the uni servers (like I am right now).

Ah, I see :)
Well, from what I've heard Chrome is not a browser you'd want to use for my style of using tabs ;)
My main browser (where I have most of my tabs open) is firefox. It doesn't lag, it doesn't really load all the tabs unless I click on them and I'm usually just actively looking at a few at a time. Well, I know where I opened what :D They're somewhat grouped and if it gets impractical I reorder them a bit. I have an add-on that makes that easier and gives you a list of your tabs and you can move multiple together and stuff.
But I like to keep all of the stuff available and open in case I might want to look at it again. I don't want to have to search for a site forever because I can't remember exactly how I got there or something like that.

Haha I thought I was bad, I usually have around a maximum of 20. When I'm writing an article I start by doing all the research first so I keep it all open for reference, then steadily close tab by tab when I finish writing each part of the article. Then I usually have knuffel feed/play page open, emails,
maybe a webcomic or a podcast, maybe another game. That's about my limit for what I need at once time lol.

I don't think I actively use more than that at once either ;)
It's just that I like to keep tabs open unless I'm absolutely sure I won't need them anymore. So in your article example, I would keep them all open until the article is submitted to wherever it needs to go and potentially I'd even wait for feedback on it (if there's any to be expected). Only then, when I'm sure the topic is really done and I'll never need the stuff again, I'd close all the tabs I had opened for it.
Maybe I'm weird :D A virtual messy or something ;)

I don't worry about that because I know I'll find it in my history. I also often make bookmark folders, say if the research and the writing don't take place on the same day. But when I write so many a week, it's just too much to handle to keep all of them open until they are accepted, which could be two or more weeks XD
J compulsively clears his cache and history basically every day, I don't know how he ever finds anything again.

Hm, I guess using the history would be a good alternative. I just feel more comfortable having everything actually still there somehow though :D But then again, I don't usually have to write lots of articles ;)
Mh, maybe he bookmarks everything? :D
I actually don't use bookmarks a terrible lot. Sometimes yes, but seldom.

I use the 'favourite' function a lot. I mean, I safe all the brillant sites I see, but forget about them and usually never look at them again xD But in case I wanna see them I saved them in my bookmarks of the browser.
And I am also like Poshi, using a few tabs and closing the ones I do not need anymore, opening one again if I need it once more doesn't bother me.

I usually have one tab for youtube, one for kofk, one for facebook but if I'm doing work then I close everything except youtube and my work tabs. I work on one thing at a time and often times I book mark as opposed to keep a tab. In fact, I have a tonne of bookmarks x_x I delete them when I'm done or when I save the paper.
Why does he feel the need to do that jacob? I often keep my history in case I need it.

Sometimes I'll close everything but my work tabs if I'm having trouble focusing. That way the temptation isn't there anymore.
I don't know, I asked him and he said it's just a habit he can't stop. Probably leftover paranoia from when he was a stoner teenager with a healthy male appetite :P
(lol I just realised it sounds like he no longer has a healthy male appetite, you guys know what I mean I hope XD)
