Ah well, my parents do have a point. I can be lazy at times XP I would love to take care of a pet, though.

Kaelin, you have a dog? In that case, getting a cat would probably be a bad idea. Unless you have the energy to go chasing after two fighting animals.

Not all cats and dogs fight. There are two dogs in this household and they both get along fine with the cat. And it used to be a two cat one dog household. It's really more of a case by case thing since it depends on the animals temperament, up bringing, and such.

Maybe, but well, I think better not to risk it unless you have some solid training put into the pets.

If the dog is well mannered/docile enough it might be alright, and most of the time the cat does not care at all.
But yea, best bet is with a dog that was raised around cats
