Yum~ Do you make just plain porridge? My mom always makes me abalone porridge when I'm sick hehe unfortunately I don't get sick often

I used to not like porridge because I didn't realise I could put whatever I wanted on it

Now I make it with spices, maybe a mashed banana, fresh or dried fruit, sometimes some nuts, possibly a bit of yoghurt, anything else I feel like

its yum!

ooh I just searched what abalone porridge is, it's made with rice? sounds interesting. I was talking about porridge made from oats

My folks call that oatmeal. I like my oatmeal with milk, sugar, vanilla, and sometimes fruit mixed in. I've had rice porridge before. One time it was from a 'hole in the wall' Japanese place and it had beef in it, the second time I had it there was salmon in it.
