:/ My mom job leads to a lot of clingy babies coming to her and they cry for like 1month for their parents. and then they get used to it! Unless of course if the parents keep giving in then it lasts for like.... years

. So he will probably too if you can ignore the crying!

Omg. My brother was opposite to me. He cried significantly less than I did and when he was a toddler, the only time he did cry was when I forced him into a tight space and have him take a photo with me.
He was very uninterested in other people but he liked breaking my dolls ._.
He just played Nintendo 64 games whilst sucking a dummy/drinking from a bottle up until he was 8. He barely talked and I remember him having to redo kindergarten because they couldn't get a word out of him. All he did was nod or shake his head.

I understand that o-o Ezra is EXACTLY how I was when I was young. Umm, I recommend not feeling so bad and just trying to get what you need done. Growing up, I feel really terrible that my mother missed opportunities for herself because of something I don't remember doing as a bratty child that didn't understand anything. He's probably just really attention seeking and needy like 'everyone please pay attention to me. I know if I cry or hit you, you will stop what you're doing and look at me or speak to me." Try disciplining him and leaving him to cry for a little while otherwise he'll cling for years to come.
If it helps, for my baby cousin, at around 1 years old he kept making me hold him. When I put him down he'd start whinging so I just walk away or say, "NO! Don't," and make sure my face looks really cross.

Yeah. I guess. It just makes me feel bad.
Sometimes, I try to literally just ignore him and see if he gets
over it and goes to play or something. But usually, it doesn't happen.
He's just as persistent as I am. He will cry. Until I pick him up. The sooner
I pick him up, the sooner the crying stops. xD And he knows it.
Moms call that CIO, or Cry It Out. The recommend it while sleep
training, and some other things, like this situation. A LOT of moms
are against it because it seems like borderline child abuse.
But really, what harm can crying do? Other than make them really
tired so they nap longer, lol.

I don't think it's abuse. It's discipline. No one has time to pay attention to a baby 24/7 just because it's crying for attention. Maybe don't straight up ignore him but talk to him even if he doesn't understand. If you repeat the same strings a lot maybe he'll understand that crying gets him no where.
So like, Ezra cries, face him and be like, "Ezra, NO! Don't cry for attention like that." When he's being good and stops crying maybe you can reward him with like those bread sticks you give teething babies or play with him or watch cartoons with him. There must be something that'll work.

NO is a word I've been trying to teach him for months.
And I know he understands it, but does he care? Nope. p:
Like when he's playing on the floor, the only thing he's not
allowed to do is go under his swing because the electrical plugs
are down there. So when he tries to go, I tell him NO!, and he'll
stop, look at me, smile and keep going. >> I've even tried smacking
his thigh, and picking him up and putting him across the room. xD
But he still goes under there. Like a butthead.

Omg! Your child is evil! Jks.
It feels like a horror movie scene. My parents used to hit me with chopsticks 8U and leave me to cry. I turned out airight.
I hope you find something that works. He's mischievous that one.
Anyway, need to sleep. Have uni today. Bye c:
