It's hard to live here if you don't do right in life.
The people who do well are the ones that go to school
and work hard. xD This country is full of slackers who
think they're entitled. That's why it's crappy here. :U
But because of that, people who have legit problems or
reasons why they can't work can get assistance but it's a pain
in the ass. /Living that life right now. xD

Angel's parents have spare money, sometimes, but they both work
2 jobs and Angel's little brother and sister also live here, and this house
is kind of old so they try to immediately fix things that need attention
so they don't end up costing more money. xD They're very good
with their finances. I wish Angel would follow suit. If he would stop
wasting the money he makes, we would be fine. If he would put all or
most of his paychecks toward paying bills and fines and whatever
else, we could be out of debt before the end of this year, and THEN
we could enjoy wasting money and buying things we don't need. But
he just keeps putting everything on the backburner which is going to
make everything worse in the long run. =_=

Living here isn't TOO expensive. But like I said, Angel's parents
have two jobs and they still struggle sometimes. xD So.

I think one thing that really helps is if you're not inclined to drinking, smoking, eating out and gambling, you can save A LOT of money.

My father used to smoke and drink a lot, he used to gamble as well which was really bad. I remember being 5 and one day he didn't come home. My mother wanted to go look for him but my brother and I were still young and she couldn't leave us alone. She took us out to the bar down the street but couldn't actually enter because she was holding a baby. Eventually, we found dad on the slots machines. I can't remember what happened next but I have a lot of vivid memories of when dad used to smoke, drink and gamble. I remember because my mother did a lot of crying and dad used to have bursts of anger and hit us when he tried to quit smoking.

I guess he picked up all these bad habits to drown his PTSD. He was a boat person :s but he was good enough to quit a lot of his bad habits for mum and the welfare of his family.

But anyway, cigarettes and alcohol are expensive, gambling throws away money to low probabilities of winning. All that shit is not great for people struggling with debt etc :/

And DRUGS. Drugs also suck out your money.
And your life force, lol.

Luckily, Angel doesn't really smoke like that. But he uses a lot
of money at work for food, and he buys beer and weed like 3 times
a week. Not to mention whatever else he wants to waste his
money on. Then by Wednesday he's broke and always bitching because
he didn't have anything to eat at work, there's no gas, we're out
of weed, etc. Like WELLLL you know if you hadn't wasted the other $400
we had then maybe none of this crap would be a problem???

Wait, what?! How much is weed?
Wtf can you buy for $400?!
My mother actually 'confiscates' all of my papi's pay and gives him a weekly allowance of $150 so he doesn't pull shit like that

I forgot about drugs hahaha. Weed isn't legal here and I'm not close to people who are into drugs. Drugs usually come up if you're with sketchy people or you go clubbing a lot (which I don't). Engineering students drink a lot but I have alcohol intolerance so I don't drink it. It makes me really ill. I also have asthma so I don't smoke. I tried a vanilla electronic cigarette once and it felt weird 8u no likey.

If I can. He probably won't go for it though.
He would rather HAVE his money and waste it all.

Weed is like $20/gram. He only buys a gram at a time
instead of getting more and benefitting from deals, even though
He ends up spending like $60/week on it. >_> He could just buy
like, 2 grams for $50, or whatever else, but he always wants to
keep his money. He does the same thing with gas. Instead of
filling the tank up or at least halfway, he'll just put $10 at a time
every 2 or 3 days which is BAD for the gas tank, but does he care? Nope 8u

When I get to about a quarter of a tank I drop $20 in and it fills it to about 3/4 of a tank. ^^;

The kind of weed I get is about $50 for 1/8th of an ounce. That lasts me a week. In order for us to live where and as we do we need my disability check, my mom's check, and $500 a month from the housemate. A weeks worth of groceries for us is $100-$200.

I honestly believe that minimum wage should be a liveable wage, which it isn't right now. There is a huge gap between the higher class and the lower class money wise here in America. It's insane because inflation is rising the prices of everything and it's already hard enough to live on minimum wage.

I get $523 a fortnight from Centerlink. :( it's not enough but I'm so glad and thankful I live with mum and that mum can afford to pay for most of the bills and stuff

Liveable wage sounds good.
Or maybe everything should be less expensive, lol.

And Ceco, that's usually what I try to get Angel to do.
If we bought an eighth, it would definitely last the whole week.
But instead he'd rather run out and then have to call
one of our dudes to bring more instead of just doing
it once. He makes his life hard then complains about it, lol.
